This used to be my Cat's favorite. I bought it for years!! Great quality product, made my Cats' coats glisten. And then the Pandemic. And the last couple times I tried it, showed up dry and stale. Cat won't touch it. I feel they sold the company and its made differently. Not sure, but its not the same amazing product it once was.

Theresa has IBD and finding a food that will help her and that she will eat is tricky. She really likes The New Zealand Meow freeze dried venizon bites and Chewy suggested I also try Primal freeze dried venison nuggets. We are starting slowly. They are much larger and need to have broth or water added to soften. Theresa ate a dish somewhat hesitantly but we believe as we mix or alternate both foods, she will eat it. It is great to have a second option that we can work with.

Super hard

These were so hard I couldn't break them apart with my bare hands. Once I got it mostly torn apart with the side of a spoon and a lot of elbow grease, I let sit

These were so hard I couldn't break them apart with my bare hands. Once I got it mostly torn apart with the side of a spoon and a lot of elbow grease, I let sit with a good amount of warm water for 5min and it still barely softened on the dime sized peices. This food was so tough my senior who it was intended for couldn't eat it and even my garbage disposal of a cat who literally eats anything, never turned down food in his life cat was reluctant to eat this. That tells me a lot. You need to put it through a food processor to make it small enough to rehydrate imo. Would not recommend.

My cat got a food allergies and sensitivities test so we can eliminate allergy foods. Your product contains the following she can't have: Organic Carrots, Organic Apples, Organic Pumpkin Seeds, Organic Sunflower Seeds, Organic Blueberries, Organic Cranberries, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Coconut Oil, Salt, Organic Sunflower Oil, Vitamin E Supplement, Liquid Lactobacillus acidophilus fermentation product, Liquid Lactobacillus casei fermentation product, Liquid Lactobacillus reuteri fermentation product, Organic Ground Alfalfa That's just too many added ingredients for our needs. Thanks anyway.

I have made the mistake of purchasing the Venison 3 times, the last time I requested a refund! They are hard a rocks and very difficult and almost impossible to shred or break up. I had to put them in a baggie, and pound them with the bottom of a pan to get them to break up. For $50+ it’s not worth it! Most importantly though my cats will not eat it! Needless to say I will not be purchasing the venison again.

It's ok if some chunkier pieces are still there as long as I think my cats can chew them without damaging their teeth. Chewing on things is good oral stimulation and helps clean teeth. No reason to pulverize these things unless your cat has no teeth.

Usually my cats eat homemade meals but I wanted to stock up some freeze dried raw for when I am not prepared, short on time, or when we travel. Well, this turned

Usually my cats eat homemade meals but I wanted to stock up some freeze dried raw for when I am not prepared, short on time, or when we travel. Well, this turned out to require more effort and time! Each nugget is ROCK HARD that I would need a food processor or mortar/pestle to break them into small pieces. I tried to soak them overnight but that did not work either. They say "Serving is as easy as 1-2-3"...not exactly. I will not purchase it again as I'm looking for something easier to prepare. Same thing for pork and rabbit version.
