Purina ONE Natural High Protein True Instinct Chicken & Salmon Recipe in Sauce Canned Cat Food

My cats seemed to like the taste well enough but did not like the texture. I think the chunks were too big for their liking - they are used to more of a flaky texture. After once or twice, they refused to eat it and now the cans are just sitting in my pantry.

My cats only licked the juice but wouldn’t eat the chunks at all . So it was pretty expensive as they wouldn’t eat it . But I tried on all 12 cats

Clawdia Loves It

I decided to try out this food after feeding my girl Clawdia primarily Purina One Indoor dry kibble. I noticed that she would visit her water bowl more frequently in the warmer summer months, so I wanted to see if the high moisture content would help keep her better hydrated. Not only is she better hydrated, but she LOVES this food. I feed her dry kibble in the morning and this for dinner, and she always starts asking for it a few hours before dinner time. Granted, I can’t leave food out for her all day because she’s food obsessed and will gorge herself, so I can’t speak to how she would like it if she were a picky eater. But this food has much better quality ingredients than a lot of the mystery meat pâtés out there.

My cats do not like this food. It is big squares of food in gravy and they do not care for that.

Picky cat loves this

We have tried so many types of wet food for our picky cat and this is still is favorite brand (even over the fancy stuff). I'll keep buying it and get bummed when it's out of stock!

Good Macros

This food was recommended because of the high(ish) protein and lower fat content. The smaller cans are nice for single servings, but my cats were not super enthusiastic about the flavor. I have found other wet cat foods with similar protien/fat content that are a bit cheaper and that my cats like.

My cat has been a Purina girl her whole life. Chicken and salmon are her favorites.

Chunks too large

The other purina flavors the chunks are a lot smaller. My cat , who has what seems a damaged jaw from his pre adopted life, cannot eat this flavor bc there is very little gravy snd the chunks are huge, which makes it impossible for him to eat.

My 2 kitties were not at all enticed.

Tried this brand because I'm having so much trouble finding wet food my 2 young kitties will eat. They licked The gravy off the first time I fed it to them, but would not eat the chunks. The second time they didn't even give it a second sniff. Not looking for a refund, just wanting to give our opinion as I choose everything I get through Chewy by reading recent reviews myself. So far they've only enjoyed the Sheba perfect portions cuts, so that's what we'll stick with.

My cats don't like it

This food is in larger chunks. My cats do not like it. They lick the Gravy and walk away. They do not like to chew the food. My cats prefer shredded food and do not eat the chucks.
