I noticed the last ingredient is garlic oil. Seems odd since I have always been told to make sure to avoid giving dogs any garlic or onions. Why is this added to this food for dogs?

Many people believe that garlic and onions are harmful to dogs, and in large, concentrated doses this can be true. However, in the proportions that are used, it is highly beneficial to heart health, acts as a natural flea repellant, an antioxidant and anti-bacterial ingredient. Just like with humans, many things are healthy (and indeed necessary) in small doses but potentially harmful in large, concentrated doses.

I know the bag says for dogs over 50 pounds but can a dog that's 35 pounds have it as well?

my Staffordshire Terrier refuses to eat!

I was wondering why the ingredient list was so long for Pro Plan varieties and read a few articles that said all these unrecognizable, chemical sounding ingredients

I was wondering why the ingredient list was so long for Pro Plan varieties and read a few articles that said all these unrecognizable, chemical sounding ingredients are a result of rigorous scientific research. My dog smelled this food and would not eat one kibble. Perhaps Purina should focus a little more on taste and flavor instead of adding so many unnatural things so they can make nutritional claims about the food. Not sure how many of the vitamins and minerals are a part of a dogs natural diet. I also was looking for an extra large kibble since the Staffy's have those huge, smiling mouths and can choke on smaller mouthfuls of kibble. I was very disappointed that the size of this kibble is just slightly bigger than a dime. Mistakenly I thought "Large Breed" would translate to large kibble. Also disappointed at the fragility of the kibble. I'm sure the box got rolled around a few times and there is a lot of kibble "dust" in the bag. I'm sure it is a few ounces, I am not basing this review on one dog's reaction. Although I purchased this food for my Staffordshire Terrier I have 4 dogs and not one of them will eat this. Wanted to leave one star accidentally hit 2 stars and can't undue the second star for some reason. I'm going to take this to my local shelter and see if any of their dogs will eat it.

good quality food

Great size kibble and chicken pieces for an English Bulldog’s size mouth which keeps more in his mouth at mealtime vs smaller kibble sizes. And he seems to enjoy

Finally adult food
