I have been using this food for over a year for my dog. She’s highly allergic to chicken and poultry. This was one of the ONLY foods I could find with no chicken or poultry by-products. For the last month, she’s been breaking out so bad and I couldn’t figure out why. Well, it’s the freaking chicken by product. Will not be buying anymore. Companies should be obligated to tell you of formulation changes!!!

I’ve been feeding this brand/flavor to my dogs for years and years (I have a 12 year old), in 2023 I started to notice a TON of GI upset in my golden brought to the vet couldn’t find a source of the issue, would alternate between chicken and rice back to this. Fast forward a year dog is in shock back at the vet with cardiac tamponade. This year full blown heart failure unknown causes to all the valve issues. Now in the past six months both my huskies can barely stomach the food having food aversion (thinking huskies just being stubborn) and now are vomiting and diarrhea similar to my golden issues from the last year. I’m really confident this food has something to do with it. Switching immediately.

Nice mix of crunchy kibble and tender blend. We are currently transitioning from her puppy brand to this Purina Pro food. She loved her puppy brand and has no problem with eating all in her bowl - a mix of both brands. Confident she will be AOK with the total switch once her other brand is gone. This was a vet recommended brand.

What has changed?

So disappointed with whatever has changed with this food. I have been feeding my dog this exact kind for over four years. This last batch smells completely different

We have what most would call a picky eater. We tried this food and she will eat this plain by itself when all the other dry foods we had for her she needed some

It is trial and error on finding what is bothering her, so I can't blame it on the food, but it does have a lot of grain in it, which isn't great for dogs.

I have moved away from poultry (chicken/turkey) due to one of my pups being allergic and away from beef towards fish for nutrient and weight focus. Normally they both turn their little noses up at anything fish but not this blend which includes probiotics. We have tried the sensitive stomach version of the salmon/rice and it is not a hit like this shredded blend.
