I have a very picky puppy (10 months) that was transitioning to adult food . I tried so many gourmet dog foods with no luck. It got to the point where I was very embarrassed to return. My breeder recommend this and finally my dog has a good he’ll eat. My only wish is that they had more “shredded “ pieces inside. Or they should make a topper of the shredded that you can buy to add yourself.
I have 5 dogs 2 toy and 3 large breed all 5 have eaten some form of this proplan for over a year and loved it until last month? all 5 dogs are turning up their nose and when they once devoured it now wont even finish it? looking for a new brand and answers?
My dogs would eat the entire bag if I didn't keep it separate from them. I have Boston Terriers and they are notorious for being little gas bags but I don't seem to have that problem with this brand. I do notice that my little one likes this food so much that she also tries to eat it when it comes out the other end so that's a journey all in itself lol. I definitely recommend and see my dogs thriving on this particular food.
This good was ok as a substitute for his regular food, Purina One. But it is made of smaller pieces, for a small dog. I had to w atch to make sure he didn't choke, but he did fine.
I recently changed my dog food from a more expensive brand to this Parina pro. I was expecting to have a tough time getting my dogs to eat it. But first time I put it down, they absolutely loved it!
I finally found a food my dog likes. She likes to pick out most of the shredded pieces first...but that's fine with me. She eats the kibbles eventually.
I thought the regular Pro Plan for puppies was good, but it was always too big in kibble size. This smaller size of kibble is going to be perfect!
The only dry kibble that our Riley would eat. Now, two of my three pups are on it. I will, eventually, switch my new rescue pup over to this. I like that it contains probiotics, too.
My dogs usually eat Purina Pro Plan Sensitive skin and Stomach, Salmon version. However, I thought I’d try a new flavor for them since it’s the same type of food. I slowly mixed in the new food and eventually transition to this new flavor. The entire time they were eating this chicken version, they had stomach issues(soft stool and/or diarrhea). It also seemed to make their poop an orange color. I quit using this food and am back to the salmon version which they absolutely love and have no problems with. Their poop is back to normal too. Unfortunately, I reached out to chewy customer service about the issue and requested a refund since I could not use the food. And I was asking if I should donate it or not since they had tummy issues with it. Strangely, I never received a reply after an initial response asking for more order info. Chewy customer service is usually excellent. So, I try to reach out again. Overall, I do NOT recommend this version of Pro Plan.
The kibble is smaller "kernels" than some of the other small breed foods. Saucy literally inhales it She was on it when we got her from the breeder and our vet thinks it is excellent as well.
