Good Food for active puppies
I’ve had my puppy on this food since she was about 3 months and it’s doing good for her. She is a very active boerboel that is also very picky. She goes on and off with eating this food consistently with no additives, but she usually has no issues. One thing to note is that i think they changed the size of the food itself. It used to be small but now with my last order the kibble is larger and darker in color. As stated before she is a boerboel and this food has really seemed to help with her very rapid development. She is 100+ pounds and just turned 7 months and so far i haven’t seen any issues as she remains active and continues to grow.
Changed our dog for the better
We had our Baxley on a puppy food required by the breeder for his first year. We switched him to what we fed our other adult dog and he began having loose stools and other issues. Our vet strongly recommended putting him on Purina Pro Plan. Within about a month he was back to normal, filled with energy and happy as could be! Can’t suggest this food more! Keeping him on it for sure.
ProPlan Puppy Development
I ordered off chewy since we needed food for both an elderly dog and a puppy to get both items at the same place. Along with very quick shipping. I appreciate the prompt service. My puppy loves the food but right loves just about any food:)
My Dogs Will Not Eat
My very not picky eaters turned their nose up at this particular kind of Purina Pro Plan. I have NEVER had an issue with either my dogs not scarfing down their food or with Purina Pro Plan. Do not know if it was just something about this bag (they have eaten it before) or if there has been some sort of change in the taste, quality, etc. Very expensive to have to throw away the majority of the bag.
My dog likes it
Delivery was fast and my picky dog likes the food. It is the first one we have found that he will eat without toppers.
Very high protein
I changed from a lower protein/fat Pro Plan to Sport because of my very active puppy. However, I have found the stools have become soft on this formula. I am switching back after this bag as I do not think she needs this much protein. The food is consistent, but not quite what my pup needs.
Would not Recommend
I no bought one 35 pound bag and had no issues so I bought a second bag and immediately saw a change in my pup. We were advised to take him off of the food and everything else for 4 days and give plain rice and boiled chicken and then slowly reintroduce the Pro Plan. My pup was back to normal during those 4 days but as soon as we started to gradually reintroduce the Pro Plan we again saw issues. I would not recommend because something in the food definitely did not agree with my pup.
Not for my Dog
I bought this as it had good reviews and I have a very high energy puppy. But I have noticed she has had to poop a lot more with this food (more trips during the night) and it made it weird colored. Looked it up and it said due to too much fat in her food/diet. Well she gets little to no table food. So this had to be it. I’m switching back to the original since they have it back in stock in hopes that her stool goes back to normal and less trips outside. She enjoys the taste and never had issues with that however.
She loved it!
From what I could tell my pup really liked this food! I really appreciate that it focuses on yhe health and energy of the dog as well. Looking into the price point I feel like it is a very good value for the money. My dog also didn't overeat this food as well so that is also a plus. I hadn't tried this brand before but she seems to overall be happy with it and I will look into buying it again.
Great for your dogs development
my dog I noticed a change in his energy as well as his stomach sensitivity become less sensitive. my dog now has a shiner coat as well. he did not have any trouble chewing the pieces of food as they were not to large. this is a must for anyone who wants healthier food that is not over priced.
