My vet suggested Purina dog dental health food, since my 8 month old mixed hound pup already had tarter build up. So I ordered it from Chewy, got it the next day. When I brought the bag into the house Casper was going nuts trying to open the bag. I gave him one as a test, he loved it. Now part of his died and using as healthy treats.
I started out giving this to my dogs as kibble. But, they love it so I now add it to their dog food.
My picky dog loves this food. We first had it at the vet--they gave them out as treats, and my pup was staring at the container and even jumped up on the counter (she never jumps!) for more. As a bonus, it's great for her teeth.
Great love it being brought to my house always no issues!! Great for dog dental health!
Dog eats the food fine. Looking forward to a better dental visit!
We just started using this product in an effort to stave off problems with the puppers' teeth. Squash's breath was BAD so the vet recommended adding the DH Formula Dry Food to their regular kibbles. They love the taste (we even use pieces as treats now and then). Too soon to tell if there is improvement but they do seem to love it! Wish it didn't require a prescription but that can't be helped.
Treavor loves his Purina. Likes large bite pieces to chew on.
I was told by my vet tech to use this food for use as treats to keep my fur kids dental health strong in between there yearly teeth cleaning. My babies love them and I will continue to use them
I bought this on my vet's recommendation for my "dorkie" (half doxie/half yorkie) immediately after my dog had a complete (under anesthesia) cleaning. I fed only this and no other foods. It's been 9 months since my dog's teeth cleaning and his teeth are *nasty*. On the plus side, both my dogs like the taste. But for the price, I won't be buying this again. I'm giving it two stars because the dogs did like the taste, but save your money if you're looking for a food that keeps teeth clean.
My dog doesn't like dry food. I think the previous owner fed table scraps! He will be two in January and has a dark spot on one of his beautiful white teeth's I tried a lot of different dry food. This one he likes !! Believe it or not, My cats like it too!
