QT Dog Water Buffalo Cheek Roll Dog Treat, 12-in

I have a twin day bed set up as a couch for my two large dogs (85lb adult pit, 65lb Northern Inuit puppy). It is covered with a waterproof blanket. They each received two treats each--the version with hair for outside and these for inside. Given the size, I expected these to last for a week like the other types of collagen rolls I have purchased. They did not last a day. My pit got up on her couch and had hers gone in about 5 hours. She was able to break it apart into smaller pieces instead of having to gnaw on the end like other brands. She left behind a slobbery wet spot of white leftovers and a white pasty spot around 12" across where she rubbed the chew around. I thought the white film was slobber and would wash out easily. I wasn't worried about it. Its a heavy duty blanket doing its job. I wash it once a week and expected the slobber to wash out like past washes. It did not. Four heavy duty soak cycles, attempted to shave with different fur/pill removers, nothing seemed to budge the residue. It felt like tacky glue that became one with my blanket. I sprayed it with contractor grade adhesive remover and finally got the majority of it out. I didn't want to risk damaging the waterproofing, so I left the remaining residue alone. If I can't wash out a chew's residue with one wash, it has no business being ingested my dogs.

We have tried different water buffalo cheek bones and this was probably the worst one we have tried. We ordered two and both were so brittle and didn't last long at all. It easily broke into small pieces that I was worried she would choke on. There are better brands out there selling this product that last hours long and keep their form.
