About This Item

Details

  • Thoughtfully designed waterer is made from safe and durable 100% food-grade and BPA-free plastic.
  • Six horizontal drinking nozzles are designed to limit dripping and help keep the surrounding ground or bedding clean and dry.
  • Chickens peck the metal tab to release water. To train your flock, simply press the metal tab so they can see water flow; your chickens will quickly learn to do it on their own.
  • Quick-fill port on the bucket lid makes refilling the waterer easy and convenient without removing the lid.
  • Waterer can be hung with RentACoop’s Hanging Strap (sold separately) or placed on a solid, elevated surface.

Any of the waterers will crack if water freezes in them. We recommend using something like our heated belt to keep water from freezing.

4 ports, not 6

I bought this because it was supposed to have 6 nipples, but both of the ones I ordered only have 4. Yes I can drill holes and add 2 more, but for $45 I shouldn’t

I was worried about this waterer as the chicks had been using the open-base style waterer from day 1. When we moved them out to the coop, they surprised me and took to the horizontal nipples right away! It does not leak, and it's easy to clean and refill. So far, so good! :) I do wish it had a "V" shaped metal handle to make hanging easier but we'll make it work!

This doesn’t work

I have given this thing a month and a couple of my birds get it and the others do not. They are all acting like they’re dying with no water. Same for the feeder

Must have chicken waterer!

This is the perfect way to keep your chickens hydrated with little work. We own two of these, as well as, feeders from rentacoop. They started drinking out of these

This is the perfect way to keep your chickens hydrated with little work. We own two of these, as well as, feeders from rentacoop. They started drinking out of these immediately. We had problems with some of the nipples leaking on one. Sent an email and received an immediate response (within 10 minutes). They are shipping new ones. Highly recommended!

Not for Ducks

This is a unique case, but we bought this waterer for our ducks and unfortunately they didn't get how to use it. We tried tapping and even putting meal worms on

This is a unique case, but we bought this waterer for our ducks and unfortunately they didn't get how to use it. We tried tapping and even putting meal worms on the nozzles. I am sure it works great for chickens, but just a warning for all the duck owners out there.
