What is a good thermostat that will work with this and control the light? Is there one on Chewy, preferably?

Either the Exo Tera or Zoo Med single (not dual) thermostats will work fine with this products

Is the wattage changeable in the housing? I.e. can I put a 75W replacement bulb in the housing that originally had a 50W bulb?

The wattage is not interchangable.

The intense heat

One problem, the screw collar came off when I tried to change the bulb. must be heat related.

These guys knocked it out of the park

Works perfect. It does what the others do like it but better, that quartz diffuser makes a huge difference then just the g9 bulb and hood. It makes you feel less

Works perfect. It does what the others do like it but better, that quartz diffuser makes a huge difference then just the g9 bulb and hood. It makes you feel less wasteful because you just change the g9 bulb not a big piece of glass each time. The last thing the bulbs are pretty cheap the 2 packs by the makers brand or i even tested the zilla g9 bulbs and they work with no problems also just incase your in a pinch and need a bulb from the pet store most places dont carry reptile systems yet.

Had an issue where the base didn’t want to screw into the lamp housing but chewy got me a replacement and it works perfect, it is a little tough to screw but that’s due to the friction of the ceramic parts which is normal. Love that I can change the wattage of the heat lamp with just a bulb replacement. Doesn’t feel as wasteful as other heat lamp bulbs that way.

An awesome dimmable heat lamp where I don't need to replace the whole bulb. It's been going strong for over a month now and no issues. I have my light set up to a thermostat so it had quite a few on and off cycles with no issues. The 100w bulb is hot but is perfect for my bearded dragon because I have exhaust fans for the excessive air heat!
