The Ring Indoor Cam Pet Camera connects using 802.11 b/g/n WiFi at 2.4GHz frequency only, and won't work with a 5GHz WiFi band.

Is this camera compatible with Android phones?

No notifications just for noise

I figured something marketed as a pet camera would notify us if our dog is barking, but nope, only notifies for motion. This is just a security camera marketed for pets. Seems like a fairly simple feature to add. We like that it has a privacy cover so we know it isn’t recording us when we’re home. You need a subscription if you want to be able to go back and look at footage, but that isn’t important to us so we just check it live periodically. I was able to snap our dog out of howling by talking through the camera (she came over and sniffed it). Sorry neighbors..

Small but does the job!

I needed an indoor camera to monitor my pets while out of town. Since I have other Ring cameras, selecting this camera was a natural fit. It worked very well

I needed an indoor camera to monitor my pets while out of town. Since I have other Ring cameras, selecting this camera was a natural fit. It worked very well. I placed it on the floor next to the food bowl and was able to monitor and talk to my cat. I also was able to place it where even when turned on, I can maintain privacy. The privacy cover is also easy to adjust to cover the camera. It was very easy to set up and use. I’m happy with this purchase.

Don't Purchase If You Use Spectrum Wifi

I actually think the Ring products themselves are great. But, they do not connect well to Spectrum WiFi, if at all. Mine would not connect at all. The camera

I actually think the Ring products themselves are great. But, they do not connect well to Spectrum WiFi, if at all. Mine would not connect at all. The camera will only connect to 2.4Ghz. Spectrum WiFi is 5Ghz. After much researching and reading other user comments, I subsequently bought the Ring Chime Pro, which supposedly connects to both 2.4 and 5Ghz. Well, it would not connect either. We stream and have zero WiFi issues with computers, phones, Tvs, etc. But, the Ring products would not connect. I am very disappointed because I liked that the Ring Indoor Camera has a privacy cover for when you're home and don't want voice or recording to happen. I will continue my search for another camera that will have better connectivity, as well as a privacy cover.

Pretty good if you have the Ring app

I already had the ring door bell and am paying for the subscription on that, so I opted for another ring device to monitor my puppy when I’m not home. The camera

I already had the ring door bell and am paying for the subscription on that, so I opted for another ring device to monitor my puppy when I’m not home. The camera quality is good. The audio quality is not as great. I feel like it picks up noise that isn’t even there. I’m not sure if the mic is just sensitive but it should a little staticy when the room is quiet

Great little dog camera

I really like this camera. One complaint is I sometimes forget to open it to see my dogs. Picture is good. Sound is lacking. It does screech when I turn on the microphone

I really like this camera. One complaint is I sometimes forget to open it to see my dogs. Picture is good. Sound is lacking. It does screech when I turn on the microphone to talk to my dogs. They do not like the sound, and it's quite annyoying. At first I thought it was just when I was home and within close proxomity, but it's even when we're away from home.
