There will be approximately 4 cups of kibble per pound. The 5.5 pound bag will have close to 22 cups, the 17 pound bag close to 68 cups and the 30 pound bag close to 120 cups.
Is this food currently being vacuum-sealed to retain freshness?
Answer by • May 30, 2022
While none of the Royal Canin bags are vacuum sealed, the bags can have this appearance from time to time due to the manufacturing process. Royal Canin bags are flushed with nitrogen to eliminate oxygen within the bags, as oxygen breaks down the natural preservatives. If the kibble is still hot when the nitrogen is flushed into the bag, the heat from the kibble can react with the nitrogen and cause the packaging to shrink down around the kibble giving off a vacuum sealed appearance. There is nothing harmful about this, it's just an anomaly that we can sometimes see. Bags that have more of a "pillow" appearance, like a bag of potato chips, are equally as fresh as the bags described above. The only concern we would have would be if the bag was damaged allowing oxygen to penetrate and cause the food to spoil. Dry food has a shelf life of 18 months after manufacturing as long as it has not been opened. After opening, a bag can stay fresh for up to 2 months with proper storage.
What is the ash content?
Answer by • Oct 13, 2022
At this time, Royal Canin does not measure the ash content for this recipe.
Why is this advertised as pea free when there’s pea fiber in the ingredients?
Answer by • Nov 20, 2020
This formula states that it is pea-free because it does not contain pea protein.
My dog had been eating a different brand food, but we noticed she sort of forced her self to eat it. When this food arrived and I opened it, she immediately ate the little I gave her. Now she finished all of her food in one go!

Could tell she stopped eating grass and having gas but developed hotspots. Only on the dry version. The canned version worked well but is way too expensive to strictly feed her that.

Tastes bad, causes burping
My dog really does not like this food. Yesterday's breakfast is still in her bowl, and I'm scraping the bottom of the old food bag so she has something to eat. What little she has eaten results in burps afterward, so it doesn't seem to help digestive-wise.

Great for Sensitive Stomachs
My walker hound has a pretty sensitive digestive system & this food seems to work well for her. My other pup likes it enough that I do not buy something different for her.

Picky Eater Dog Approved
I have two dogs one that would eat everything and anything and another one that has a very sensitive stomach and refuses to eat if the food isn't up to his standards. I was feeding my dog Purina Pro Plan bit due to recent change in the formula we needed something different. After extensive researched came across this brand and decided to try it. My picky eater dog cleans the plate and licks it till there is no flavor left in his bowl. It's only been a few weeks but I haven't had any issues and it seems to be working.

Aussie Mini with digestive issues
Royal Canin Digestive Care has been a game changer for our 14 month old Aussie. Instead of occasional dry-heaves at night, and often awake 2-3am, pacing, waking us up, needing to poop, he is now sleeping well, acting like himself, playing, active, and happy! And, so are we! Amen!

Digestive Food
My mini Aussie has been having gut issues since birth. Once we switched to Royal Canin she has stopped vomiting and loves her food. I would recommend this food for any dog who may have some sort of digestive issues.

Give it a try if your dog is picky!
My dog (Great Pyrenees mix) has gotten annoyingly picky but loves this food. She is a big dog but doesn't like the huge kibbles of the Royal Canin large breed formulas, so the medium size is the winner for us. She has been eating it enthusiastically and it's great for her sensitive stomach. Her stools are well formed and not as stinky. My Yorkie (also an extremely picky eater) has eaten the small breed version of this for a few years. I've tried dozens of brands but this is the one I have the best results with. My dogs love to eat it and they are at a healthy weight, have shiny coats, and no weird stomach issues. There are also ZERO crumbs in Royal Canin foods. The bag is completely empty when you scoop out the last piece of kibble. Worth the cost!
