Can I see a picture of the kibble? Tried RC Golden Retriever & the kibble pieces are too large, almost the size of a quarter. My Golden won't eat it. Thanks
Answer by ChewySep 11, 2020
The Large Sensitive Skin Care kibble is a round shape and about the size of a penny.

How much taurine and L-carnitine is in this food?
Answer by ChewyAug 05, 2019
This formula has a Taurine content of approximately 0.50 grams per 1000 calories and a L-Carnitine content of approximately 12.42 milligrams per 1000 calories.

Can I substitute the medium size for large in order to obtain smaller kibble size ?
Answer by ChewyDec 02, 2019
We recommend consulting with your veterinarian before transitioning diets to ensure ingredients and nutritional values meet your little one's dietary needs.

Pups loved it

I always heard great things about royal canin, so I had to try this sensitive skin line to see if if it helps my dogs' sensitive skin. My German Shepherd has seasonal allergies, and bullmastiff has dry skin and tends to lick and chew his paws a lot. So far, it seem like it's helping alot their coat looks nice and shiny, and my bullmastiff isn't chewing at his paws at much. If this kibble keeps on doing its job helping my pups with their sensitive skin, then you have a happy dog mama that will continue to keep buying this food

Great dog food

I’m glad this is back in stock, after being away for many months. My 205 lbs. mastiff loves it!

He likes it!

Our airedale is a very picky eater so we weren't sure how he would take to a new food recommended by our vetrinarian. So far we are still mixing it with his old food, but he is eating it and not nudging the new food out!

Positive Results

Our vet suggested the sensitive skin diet for our young Goldendoodle, Harley. We had been using Royal Canid products and enjoyed the health benefits provided to our pup. The sensitive skin regimen started when we noticed she was constantly scratching ... we originally thought 'fleas' but none were evident. That is when the vet's diagnosis came into play. Ever since, no scratching and we have a very comfortable young lady. My only complaint is that the sensitive skin formula has been unavailable for my autoship account for three months now.

It Did Not Work

We love all things Royal Canin but this product did not help my itchy lab. It might have worked perhaps if I kept her on it for more than two weeks but she was scratching so much that patches of skin started to bleed. However, we are keeping the bag as we’re hoping that it will help our other lab with his hotspots.

Helps with Allergies

Great Dane Lab mix with horrible allergies Licking paws , itching, red skin, I alternate between this food and Royal Canin Sensitive Digestion. Neither cures his allergies but both seem to help compared to other foods, I have tried expensive prescription foods, and other high dollar brands and this food does just as good if not better.

Does sensitive skin food work?

So far the food is not working. Our dog is still itching, etc. may not be the food after all.

Worth the cost

I have a 8 yr old Doberman who has always had issues with sensitive skin and licking his paws. This food has definitely helped with that.

So far so good.

So far so good. The hair appears to be coming back in places where my dog had lost her hair on her paws. Time will tell if that is all she needed to get back on the road to recovery. A couple of weeks and I'm pleased to say this extra cost is paying off.

My Kizzy Mae

My baby was on this food for awhile because of her skin being itchy and red bumps all over the time! Tried a different food due to cost and the problem came back worse! Put her back on this about a week ago and already seeing a big change! This food is worth the extra cost most definitely!! Thanks Chewy for the fast delivery!!
