This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
FAQ
How are Royal Canin diets preserved?
All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.
Where do the ingredients in Royal Canin diets come from?
We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.

Our Quality and Food Safety systems are state-of-the-art and we continue to invest heavily in new technology to make sure they remain that way. We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase. We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food. We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers. We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.

This food is for Persian Kittens up to 12 months old
Is this a better choice than the regular kitten food for a Himalayan kitten or should I stick to their royal Canin kitten hard food?
Answer by • Oct 04, 2019
This formula is specially formulated for Persian kitten’s. The Royal Canin Feline Health Nutrition Dry Cat Food for Young Kittens would be a great alternative for your kitten.
this come in a bigger bag
Answer by • Jan 11, 2018
At this time, this product is only available in a 3 pound bag.
What is the expiration date on this bags?.
Answer by • Oct 01, 2021
Every expiration date will be different for each bag, as different batches are constantly being produced. Manufacturers establish “best by” dates to ensure the safety of your cat. Look for the expiration date on the bottom of your cat's food bag or cans, and plan to use up the food before that date.
My babies just love this food. While a little more expensive, I believe that it is worth it. No troubles with indigestion and runny stools. doing well on it. Wish there were larger bags available.

The proof is in the fur
Karl is a Persian kitten so naturally I ordered this food for him and we couldn’t be happier! The pieces are small so he can eat them easier than the bigger ones and he loves the taste! His fur is so soft we always get compliments on how beautiful his fur is and we both agree his food helps him look so good ;) Karl approved!

Picky eater
She loved her food for the first meal! Also her buddy tom-tom wants her food and constantly looks for it. She used to vomit on her hard food because she is very tiny Himalayan/Persian and the food is too big. It is wonderful that she is able to eat this food.

NO MORE DIARRHEA!!!
First, THANK YOU ROYAL CANIN! I’m a new Persian owner and had tried different foods for my precious baby. He was on Blue Buffalo which caused him almost liquid diarrhea. It was my go to since all my pets have been on Blue Buffalo with no issue. I even give it to my community cats. Unfortunately my Persian was the exception. I started him on Hill’s Science Diet for GI and did not seem to help. Then I tried the wet Science Diet chicken and rice stew. It worked!!! BUT was VERY pricey. I forked over the $40+ for 24 cans which he ate two cans a day. I didn’t want the hassle of requiring a prescription from his vet and the expense alone was enough to try this food and he LOVES IT!!! This food is the perfect size for my little boy and the diarrhea is completely gone!! His stools are nice and formed no longer stinky! He is a happy healthy Persian thanks to the beautiful folks at Royal Canin!!
