Description

Royal Canin Hairball Care Thin Slices in Gravy Canned Cat Food was developed specifically for your indoor cat over 1 year old. Cats who live exclusively indoors are sheltered from temperature variations and changes in day length which disrupts the natural seasonal cycle of fur growth, so your kitty sheds almost continuously. With a constant shed cycle, your cat swallows excessive hair during grooming and has an increased chance of hairballs. This special formula contains highly digestible proteins to promote digestive health, support hairball management, and maintain an ideal weight. This complete and balanced diet provides all the nutrients your furry friend needs and may be fed alone or as a supplement to another diet.

Key Benefits
  • These tasty slices in gravy are developed specifically for indoor cats over 1 year old.
  • Made with highly digestible protein to promote digestive health and wellbeing.
  • Supports hairball management and keeps your kitty at an ideal weight.
  • 100% complete and balanced nutrition may be fed alone or as a supplement to another diet.
  • Keep your indoor furball healthy and hairball free with this formula developed by nutritional experts.

Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7-day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

  • Kitty loves!

    By on

One of my Himalayan cats was prescribed some Royal Canin after a vet visit. It was supposed to be bland, hospital type cat food. He loved it and would surprisingly “ask” for it. I tried this non-veterinary formula after he was feeling better. Kitty loves it and has helped with hairballs (bc those are gross). Would recommend for long-haired cats!

  • Satisfied with transaction

Actually a good price for this product but as usual the shipping outweighs the good price. I don't like to be prodded to buy "just $20 more and you get free shipping" When you sign up for autoship it should be free no matter what.

  • Royal Canin

My cats' coats are so much nicer now that I am feeding them the Royal Canin products. Can't say the hairball care has changed much of anything but then I have two long hair maine coons and, short of a miracle, I have to deal with hairballs.

I’ve always bought Royal Canin in Adult Instinctive Loaf, and mix that up with Adult Instinctive Thin Slice and and Intense Beauty to make up a batch for about 3 days. She also has a bowl of Hairball Control hard food by RC to munch on and keep teeth clean. When I switched mix to the RC Hairball thin sliced instead of Adult thin sliced, she hasn’t been eating as much of her soft food. Not sure she likes the flavor as much? She still gets hair balls, but less often. She’s a Persian Himalayan with tons of hair so I’m sure I won’t find any way to prevent issue with all the shedding. I will likely go back to the Intense Beauty next order so she eats all of her gourmet food. • Royal Canin Hairball Care

    By on

My Cat is doing great with this new food and it is taking care of the hairballs, it did take her a few days to get used to eating this food, at first I didn't think she was going to do good with it, now she eats it with no problems and she is a happy cat.

I was swayed by other reviews to purchase this product but I was very dissapointed my cats did not like this product at all. :( I am bummed because its more spendy than other brands. I will not be buying this again.

  • My 2 cats did not like this flavor, but they LOVE the Royal Canin Intense Beauty

    By on

After several attempts to transition to this new flavor, my 2 Maine Coon boys were not having it. They LOVE Royal Canin Thin Slices in Gravy in several other flavors, but Hairball Care was a strike out. The chunks are much larger than most of the Royal Canin canned varieties, so perhaps it lacked the gravy content they prefer. I will go back to Intense beauty and regular Adult Instinctive flavors which they LOVE!

  • wish I knew about this sooner

Recently started feeding this to my cat who constantly coughs up fur balls. Since I started two weeks ago, all throwing up has stopped. Amazing.

  • Cat not crazy for this one

    By on

My cat loves Intense Beauty & Instinctive Royal Canin wet food, but the Hairball formula doesn't pass her muster. She will ONLY eat the Royal Canin otherwise.

My two Ragdolls love this food. And they are true shedding masterpieces. But with this food, there are no hairballs.
