Concerned about Your Cat’s Weight?

Maintaining a healthy weight can help support your cat’s overall health. When itcomes to your cat’s weight, your veterinarian is the expert. You should always consult with your vet to find the best solutions and management options for your pet.

Assessing Your Cat’s Weight

There are 9 body condition scores used to assess a cat’s weight. Talk to your veterinarian about which matches your cat.

  1. LOOK – Check your cat’s body shape to see whether she is very thin, an ideal weight or overweight.
  2. FEEL – Severely defined ribs and waist may mean your cat is very thin. Ribs easily felt but not seen, with an obvious weight, may mean she is an ideal weight. If you cannot her feel ribs and her waist is absent, your cat maybe obese.
  3. WEIGH – Work with your veterinarian to identify your cat’s weight and body condition score to help your vet determine your cat’s nutritional needs.

My cat was 27 pounds and I thought there was nothing I could do. He was a terrorist! Constantly harassing me for food. I was very skeptical about whether this food would be effective but it fills him up and between this, and the automatic feeder the problem is solved! He’s already lost at least 2 pounds in two weeks and he’s feeling and looking so much healthier. This is so worth the money.

My cats love it!

A little pricey but that's the only wet food my cats will eat at this point.

My cat loves it

It has lots of juice, which is great for hydration. Honestly it smells absolutely awful, but cats love smelly stuff, so I give it an A+.

Didn’t help cat’s begging

My cat begs for her wet food every day starting about 30 minutes before feeding time, then for treats after couple hours later. I tried this hoping it would stop

My cat begs for her wet food every day starting about 30 minutes before feeding time, then for treats after couple hours later. I tried this hoping it would stop the begging. It didn’t and it more expensive so we switched back. I guess I’ll just accept her internal clock.

Cat is choosing to ignore it.

I like it that it is available in smaller cans but cat prefers the pate form which is available only in Larger cans.

Not approved by my cat

My cat won't even think about trying this food. Such a bummer because we are running out of fish free options while also trying to support his weight loss journey

My cat won't even think about trying this food. Such a bummer because we are running out of fish free options while also trying to support his weight loss journey. Going to have to try a different brand to give him some variety and still avoid fish.

It does take the weight off

Although my cats aren’t really fond of the taste, they do eat most of it, and it does take the weight off.
