The Royal Cat Boutique is a very attractive scratching post. I can’t get over the plush carpeting. My kitty uses the scratching post but has not gotten on the perch yet. I highly recommend it
I've loved and had cats all my life....and that's a long time! Also, I've purchased many cat condos, etc., over the years. Having only one 10-year old cat now, this is by far the best one out there, in my opinion. Like other reviewers have stated, the bed cradles the cat and the scratching post is tall enough for him/her to fully stretch and scratch. My cat loved it immediately, since there was no weird chemical smell, and favors it over furniture. I ordered a second one for another room, which she cuddled in immediately. Great quality, construction and non toxic. I love my purchases.
My cats, Willie and Idgie love these, but the test for me is how long the scratching post part of them lasts. I’m expecting at least a couple of years.
I so appreciate not having to assemble this! As soon as I got it out of the box my kitty made it his own! Great match to the carpet. Highly recommend it.
Replaced a previous perch of 12 years, Rikki hopped on right away and took ownership
My cat Sami absolutely Loves this purchase! She is not one for fancy towers or beds, but this simple scratching post with the nice added benefit of a nestle spot is a Hit! She sleeps on it everyday and uses the scratching post as needed and avoids scratching the furniture.
I bought this cat tree so my cats would have a place that they can go when I tell them no to the Christmas tree! After Christmas it’s going in the kitchen to try to keep my cat off the countertops while I am preparing food! For wherever there is a no, there needs to be a yes!
All three of our purebred Maine Coons (very large kitites!) love these very sturdy trees. This is our third. This brand has very well-made trees, high-grade carpet with very few strands of carpet after thorough vacuuming, no chemical scent, no irritating strings to clip and no staples to pound or cover before letting kitty at the tree. The cradle is 17 inches long and 12 inches long side to side inside. There's just over 24 inches of scratching post and the cradle is even on both sides (some models have a drop on one side). My base is slightly bigger than the dimensions given on the website, but only by a little. This tree is only for my Leo, our only boy. He's about 17 lbs, nearly double the 7 to 9 lbs of "average" cats. No such thing as an average cat. That's a myth. We all know they all are extraordinary works of nature!! There's not much room for Leo to run and jump into his tree, so he wasn't rough housing. He jumped into it and it wobbled. I turned the tree so the cradle end was next to the wall and would absorb the energy of his jumps and no more wobbling. You may want to keep this in mind if your kitties are rowdy, but I still highly recommend this as a window tree for kitty's bird watching. It's well-made, Leo loves the scratching post material, the carpet is really nice and my big boy curls up in the cradle when he's had enough of the birds for a little shut eye away from his sisters.
