This harness is not intended for running. It is more suitable for casual every day walks. We recommend the Ruffwear Hi & Light Reflective Front-Clip Dog Harness for running.

Is this harness helpful in preventing tugging when the front clip?

The front attachment point is great for deterring pulling while your pup works on leash skills. We recommend coupling use of the front attachment with training to walk more calmly on leash, but it does help the issue while your dog is still learning.

I just brought home a rescue husky and needed a good harness for his walks. I read a lot of positive things about this harness online and decided to get it and am so glad I did. It controls him perfectly! He's not much of a puller unless he gets really excited, and when he does this gives me the perfect amount of control without hurting or choking him. It is a little too big for him even on the tightest setting, but he has some weight to gain so I think it will fit once he's a healthy weight. Will definitely buy this specific harness again when he wears this one out!

Ruff wear harness are great for longevity

Our new purchase have not been used as the red are their christmas presents. But we have had these in a different color for our dogs. The lower chest band helps protect their belly. The harness is well made. While one of our dogs harness is now a bit frayed, after many years of use, it is still intact and functional. ( he loves to roll, run through briars, and roll in who knows what skinky stuff) They wash up pretty well given the rough treatment. Ruff wear are our go-to harness. I only wish they would make a long verision with buckles not step in for the front sections ( longer ones have two belly belt sections) for our new foster fail/adopted who is long torso shepherd. I think his long lead would not get as tangled in his back leg as much if the lead came off future down his back. ( the current ones appear to be step in for the front body.

Sized well for my Labradoodle.

The blue mountain color looks great on my fur baby and the medium fits him so well. He weighs 51 lbs. and his girth measures 28 inches. I use the front lead only

Easy and Safe

It is really easy to put the harness on my dogs - even the squirmy one. It helps to control the pulling, and I feel like my girls are safer when walking in public

Too small, too big.

I measured my dogs chest and ordered a harness to size, it was too small, chest was 19 inches and harness was up to 22 inches, not true. Chewy refunded the price

I measured my dogs chest and ordered a harness to size, it was too small, chest was 19 inches and harness was up to 22 inches, not true. Chewy refunded the price and I donated the harness. Ordered the next size and it’s too big. Adjusted both harnesses and couldn’t get them to fit. This is very frustrating for me and uncomfortable for my dog.
