This does exactly as it says and works great on my standard poodle. Idk how anyone could cut themselves or their dog??? I feel I would really have to mess up. Its extremely easy to use and works as described. It is not going to get out a dread, it will de-mat a knot there is a difference. Nothing is going to remove a dread....you have to cut that out. People are lazy and this can't fix lazy.
One side of the comb is razor sharp. I sliced my finger open while grooming my dog. Be very careful if you order this item!
The blades are long enough to really get into the undercoat to get it loose and wonderful for matting. This is the best comb I have found for my Pyrenees. I actually love it. My only beef is the ping sound made when working the mats. It creeps the dogs out a bit, but the big dogs tend to be wimps. You do need to be careful until you get the hang of using it as the blades are very sharp. Absolutely recommended!
I love this tool, bought a bunch of others that didn’t work. If you have a long hair dog, you need to start with this tool. Wear leather gloves, I cut my thumb open.
I’m a professional groomer that works with the worst mats on all coat types. The blades are a perfect length and spacing for medium to larger dogs (best when used with show sheen also sold by Chewy). The handle design is superior to all others; most ergonomic I’ve used, doesn’t wear your wrist out as you rock back and forth through the mats. I teach my clients how to properly use this tool (it’s very dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing) and recommend they purchase for at home between groom sessions.
My 100 pound long haired Doodle/mutt recently had knee surgery and I neglected to brush him during rehab. This de-matting comb combined with the de-tangeling solution worked miracles! I was ready to cut his hair off, but these products saved the day.
Works quickly and without pain to my Old English Sheepdogs to remove mats, tangles and knots. An indispensable grooming tool.
This particular one is just terrible. The handle melts and just melts into your hand. I'll have all gooy yucky green hands and the handle gets soft. Get a different brand with better handle
Works great to get the mats out.
What kind of company sells a comb that has a razor blades on one side? I open this package thinking it is a normal dog comb so that I may take the mats out of my dog. Little did I know that I was going to grab the metal comb part and cut my entire hand open. Terrible company. Won’t buy from you again on your packages they need to say if there is any way the person performing the activity could be injured. Lucky I don’t sue this pathetic company
