I have both this one and the single row, and personally I perfer the single row. Just seems to work better for me, I have Five Aussies.
I have always used the PetLife Dog Grooming Comb but Chewy no longer sells it. I bought this one and I must say it does LESS than a good job. It just skims the top of my two Shi tsu's fur where the PetLife comb really gets their top and undercoats. This comb is a HUGE disappointment. I do not recommend it! I gave my to the local dog rescue.
Needed a new shedding rake for my German Shepherd but this one doesn't cut it. It removes a bit of the top, loose fur but not the undercoat. Sadly don't know the maker of my original. We'll keep looking.
Did a great job on Great Pyrenees hair--the rotating pins make the process much more gentle.
Absolutely horrible brush. Does not even reach the undercoat to remove it. It was an absolute waste of money and went in the trash.
Like a massage for our golden retriever. Gentle yet effective to loosen undercoat fur, and no stabbing yourself when cleaning the brush!
I have a German Shepherd with a thick undercoat. The rake makes it so much easier to get to that fur. It's gentle on the dog and easy to remove the hair. Plus he doesn't run away when I use it. I think he likes it!
Very disappointed as Safari products were recommended by my groomer. The rake worked nicely but has only lasted a little over a year before it fell apart grooming my Shepherd. It was probably used less than a dozen times. Over 1 year, Chewy will not replace. Manufacturer only has a 6 month guarantee.
I give it a fair review... I had an old one with 3 rows of pins which worked better..
This seems to be the tool for husky undercoat, shedding. It seems like a light touch but nothing else can get to the undercoat that will be tolerated . Slowly getting shed out
