While stirring, mix 0.33 pounds* dry weight of Sav-A-Foal™ Foal Milk Replacer in 1 quart of 110-120°F water by slowly adding milk replacer powder to water. Feeding temperature should be 100-105°F. *Enclosed scoop holds approximately 0.33 pounds of dry powder. Weigh powder to ensure accuracy. Ponies should be fed at half the lowest feeding rate for each age period. Provide fresh clean, water and a high-quality creep feed. Gradually increase feeding rate over time. Do not feed Sav-A-Foal™ Foal Milk Replacer solution that is more than 12 hours old. IMPORTANT: Ensure foals receive colostrum from the mare as soon as possible after birth. Buckets are an acceptable means of providing liquid Sav-A-Foal™ Foal Milk Replacer to foals. If persistent scours occur, consult with your veterinarian. Reseal pail between feedings to maintain freshness. Keep foals in a dry, draft-free environment.
