ScoopFree Automatic Cat Litter Box

I wanted to love the box and the disposable trays for them. Worst $300+ I’ve ever spent. I have two cats and I had to put in a new box every 2 days. I bought the reusable one and every crystal litter you can imagine. Still horrible. The little arm that rakes the poo would get stuck too. And extra gross because I had to wash a box every two days with the $50 reusable pan. The smell was horrible. The pee just puddles up. I went back to a normal box with the worlds best cat litter and scooping 2x a day and it’s way better. Sorry, don’t recommend at all unless you like spending $100 a week in litter.

Here are somethings we figured out... -Definitely need a dedicated space for the new box, she’s a beast! -Don’t freak out if your cat is skeptical, it may take more time to acclimate! -It really does lower the odor, and cleaning needs! Those crystals are awesome! -If your car does their business and then marvels at the majestic robot after doing said business, it’s okay... they’re as weird as my cat. - It is totally worth the cost, promise! I used a hooded non-automatic box that worked fine. In a moment of stupidity, I decided automatic was a good thing. It is not. I like the automatic solid waste removal and they say it lasts a month. However, my whole house stinks of urine in less than 3 days after fresh litter with this thing. I never had a problem with litter smell before I bought this thing. My supposition is that the automatic rake stirs up the urine smell. Unless you are putting this somewhere isolated, just say no.

We have a problem with the smell of litter just permeating through the house. We hate it. We also work full time with lots of overtime and will forget to scoop the litter for two or three days, which makes it worse. I wanted an automatic litter box to help with this. The crystals soak up the per very well. Occasionally I will be able to smell the poop, but it’s because it’s under the little lid. The litter is fine enough to use a scooper to scoop out the dropping without losing litter. This helps because we have had the same litter about a week and a half, and with 3 cats it can build up fast. I will be purchasing more litter probably today, but honestly smell is not a problem. Slight brag, but we do have a very smart cat. She did take to it very quickly. This is a much cleaner and much more efficient way of keeping your cat's litter box clean. We do only have one cat, so putting the timer on the 20 min (not seconds! Learned that belatedly!) is fine. I imagine you'd have to let the auto scooper run more frequently, the more cats you have. Great buy!

This is a great, efficient and "quiet" automatic litter box. Took my two cats (both males) a few days to acclimate to the crystals. Just followed manufacturer's suggestions and all went well. There is little to no odor with this system. I have left the time for the rake to run at the default 20 minute setting and this works for us. With 2 cats using the box I decided to lift the "poop" reservoir lid and empty it at the 10 day mark. Stirred the crystal litter a few times and was able to stretch use of the tray out to a good 3 weeks. Hopefully the cost of the crystals and disposable trays will not become too costly with 2 cats using it. Other than that - this unit is great! This litter box is not worth the money. It’s still difficult to clean considering it’s an “automatic” box. I’m sure it’d be fine for a one cat household but for 3 cats it is just not great. The crystal litter is overpriced as well and gets super smelly very fast. I had to spend an additional $50 to get the plastic bottom so I didn’t have to keep buying the cardboard reusable box bottoms. All in all, I’d save up for the litter robot and call it a day. This box was very disappointing.

i got this about a month ago and i really like it and so does the cats. they dont even use the old one anymore. the crystals dont track all over the house. it is very quiet when it is raking the poop. the smell is really controlled very well. they took to it very fast. i might just get a second one for another room. i do wish the crystals were abit cheaper

I bought this roughly a month ago. At first I was rather embarrassed that I spent this much on a litter box, but it is totally worth it. My husband had been working from home since the pandemic started and the litter box is in the office. He complained a lot about the traditional litter boxes. This one is much better. The room didnt start to smell until day 25 and there is no dust. The crystals do track around the room but not as much as regular litter. It took about a week for our cat to adjust to the new box. I definitely love this product and would recommend to others regardless of price.

The automatic scooping works like a dream. Smell stays consistently better than a traditional litter box, but eventually takes on a heavy pee-smell by week 2. Good sign to switch the boxes. They make that process extremely easy anyway, and their process for containing the scooped-poop is very effective and out of sight. The only thing my cat and girlfriend both dislike is how sticky the crystal litter is. It gets very easily tracked around the house. Needs a good mat for paw wiping or a distant locale for the box itself and it becomes less of a problem.
