Okay I know I may get some eye rolls, but I’m wondering about the safety of feeding the grubs. I know mealworms carry diseases and shouldn’t be fed to chickens ( I learned the hard way on that one). Are the fly grubs in this sourced in the USA?

Answer by ChewyJun 13, 2021
Scratch and Peck Feeds are the first Non-GMO Project Verified animal feed manufacturer in North America. All of their feeds are backed by sustainable farming practices, supporting local economies, and producing healthy, wholesome, and clean animal feeds. Scratch and Peck sources ingredients from family farmers in Canada and the U.S.

No waste!

I was tired of wasting half the previous brand of layer feed from another source. They picked through it and wouldn't eat half of it. My chickens eat all of this

Chickens love this feed.

The chickens love it, they look great and are laying a lot of eggs.

Layer Mash Vs Layer Pellets

I would give this 0 stars if I could. I just switched from Layer Mash to Layer Pellets because of the fine dust in the Mash that my chickens and guineas won't eat

I would give this 0 stars if I could. I just switched from Layer Mash to Layer Pellets because of the fine dust in the Mash that my chickens and guineas won't eat. I have 30 birds and 2 ducks and they will not touch this food. They follow me around like they are starving. They free range during the day so the only thing I can think of is it's overly processed and must not taste like food. Kind of like eating a box of Mac n cheese which has no nutritional value to humans. I reached out to get a refund but they won't help until I send this back. I even asked if they would send the Layer Mash in lieu of the refund but they won't. Now I have to go spend $200 on more food and wait several weeks for my refund. So frustrating.

Super fast ship, delivered next day after I ordered!

More expensive than farm store feed, but appears to be better quality.

Trip and money saver

It’s always a gamble when purchasing new products. But you can’t go wrong with ordering items you are familiar with.

My Birds don’t like it

My duck and chickens don’t like it and won’t even try this a bit. Maybe they don’t recognize the pallet shape as food or they don’t like the smell??

This food is awful!

My ducks would not TOUCH this stuff. Worse than that, I threw what was left in their bowls in the woods and the racoons wouldn't eat it! I gave the rest of the bag

Girls don’t like it

I like it because it is organic but my girls just don’t like it. I don’t know why.
