Dogs: SENERGY kills adult fleas and prevents flea eggs from hatching for one month and is indicated for the prevention and control of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis), prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, and the treatment and control of ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations. SENERGY also is indicated for the treatment and control of sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiei) and for the control of tick infestations due to Dermacentor variabilis. Cats: SENERGY kills adult fleas and prevents flea eggs from hatching for one month and is indicated for the prevention and control of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis), prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, and the treatment and control of ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations. SENERGY is also indicated for the treatment and control of roundworms (Toxocara cati) and intestinal hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) infections in cats.
PRECAUTIONS: Prior to administration of SENERGY, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms. Selamectin is not effective against adult D. immitis and, while the number of circulating microfilariae may decrease following treatment, selamectin is not effective for microfilariae clearance. Hypersensitivity reactions have not been observed in dogs with patent heartworm infections administered three times the recommended dose of selamectin. Higher doses were not tested. ADVERSE REACTIONS: Pre-approval clinical trials: Following treatment with selamectin, transient localized alopecia with or without inflammation at or near the site of application was observed in approximately 1% of 691 treated cats. Other signs observed rarely (?0.5% of 1743 treated cats and dogs) included vomiting, loose stool or diarrhea with or without blood, anorexia, lethargy, salivation, tachypnea, and muscle tremors. Post-approval experience: In addition to the aforementioned clinical signs that were reported in pre-approval clinical trials, there have been reports of pruritus, urticaria, erythema, ataxia, fever, and rare reports of death. There have also been rare reports of seizures in dogs.
No food and drug interactions have been reported.
WARNINGS: Not for human use. Keep out of the reach of children. In humans, SENERGY may be irritating to skin and eyes. Reactions such as hives, itching and skin redness have been reported in humans in rare instances. Individuals with known hypersensitivity to SENERGY should use the product with caution or consult a health care professional. SENERGY contains isopropyl alcohol and the preservative butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). Wash hands after use and wash off any product in contact with the skin immediately with soap and water. If contact with eyes occurs, then flush eyes copiously with water. In case of ingestion by a human, contact a physician immediately. My cat is 21 years old and looking it. After having trouble with mites it really took a toll on us both. I put him on this and it killed his parasites, mites, fleas, and worms. Domino has put on a couple of pounds and looks years younger. Miracle product. No side effects whatsoever.
This doesn’t work at all she’s scratching and bringing in ticks.
Off brand topicals make me nervous because some have caused my cats fur to fall out. This was fine.I used it for 2 months on 3 different cats and nobody had a negative reaction. I like that it's less liquid and dries faster than Advantage. My cats didn't have fleas when I applied it. They didn't get fleas while on it. I don't know how well it works on active flea problems.
My cat Theo had been on revolution plus with no problems. Vet said he could use this stuff because it’s cheaper. Within 20min of application, my cat has been crying and itching the application spot for the past few hours and tearing out his hair. I was told this is just a generic revolution plus but is obviously different. For this reason, I highly recommend against using this product and stick with a reputable one like revolution plus.
This is amazing, it treats so many things at once. Not sure what the one person was talking about. Maybe he should of waited until the next day to comment? If your pet had A LOT of fleas they would of taken time to all die off. If anything, if your pet has A LOT of fleas it may need until next month's dose to really see the effects. I personally never had ANY issues with senergy though, other than holding my cat still sometimes while I apply the senergy.
My mother worked for a vet when I was younger and we used to use Frontline on our animals a few years ago my 13-year-old dog all the sudden I started having skin problems at the application site. needless to say we had to discontinue the use of Frontline to protect him from fleas. The cats however just had to be put on a flea collar which doesn't really do much if you've ever used one I took my children's new cat Abby to the humane society as her primary veterinarian she loves it they're good with her this was what they recommended as a matter of fact they were kind enough to give us a box for free after that ran out I decided to purchase more through chewy because as I said not only does it control the fleas but it controls the yucky smell coming out of her ears and it prevents worms doesn't bother her skin does not smell bad or stain her fur and she's white best hands down topical product I have ever seen for a cat.
Despite various offers and coupons, this medication is very expensive. The competitors are just as much, so there really is no choice.
ok but not as easy to use as Revolution plus which you were out of.
Synergy did not give my cats any assistance in ridding fleas. Revolution is best.
Works exactly like revolution (minus ticks) but half the price. Love it.
