For my horse
By Dixie on Jan 1, 2021
This is a great product and worked to stop the itching on my horse's tail head. I used it on the tail and put a few drops down the tail bone every few days and the hair grew back full. I started using it on the mane the same way. I have used it when the horse gets a scrape and I put a few drops on that area once it is healed over and it seems to be a big help in growing the hair back.

Wow, new use!
By CreeNyght on Jan 12, 2021
My rescue had a bad case of mud fever/scratches, on one of his legs, all the way up his pastern into his fetlock. Nothing else I tried seemed to make a dent. Started soaking the area once a day with MTG, and began seeing results withing 48 hours. It has taken a month, but now almost completely healed.

Love this stuff!
By Sharon on Jan 1, 2021
I've used this for a number of skin issues for my horse. Ordered this latest bottle for rain rot. One application and it's gone. Plus, his coat is nice and soft. One recommendation: be sure to wear gloves while you're working it into the horse's coat -- it will keep your hands from smelling.

Good stuff for itchy, irritated skin
By MareMommie on Jul 12, 2020
I first have to address the issue many raised about the smell. It's simply a sulfur scent. It smells like carbolic soap. Think coal tar shampoo. The smell is a non-issue and shouldn't be even be a consideration for any horse owner worth their salt. Fly sprays are far more offensive in their odor and make a horse sneeze. This doesn't have any effect on my horse's nose or mine. I kind of like the smell, like mild campfire coals. Don't discount this product based on the worry it smells bad. I'm actually irritated that people fussed about it because I was expecting far worse. Second, it works. Use it daily until you see irritation subside and new hair growth, then twice a week or so to continue I first have to address the issue many raised about the smell. It's simply a sulfur scent. My daughter's new horse was neglected every winter and a skinny mess every spring. Lots of grooming and feed later, she's a beauty. Such a glorious mane and tail, thanks to this product.

Smight me OH smitey SMIGHTER!

Rain rot and scratches are gone! For those of you who haven’t used this product be warned it’s a sulfur based product and it smells and has the consistency of warm bacon grease. I love bacon but do caution to wear nitrile or rubber gloves when applying cause the smell lasts, plus it’s greasy consistency means a ton of dawn and hand washing to try and get it off lol! I have used this product for the last 4 years and absolutely love it. We get a lot of rain in the south and inevitably end up with either rain rot on the horses backs or scratches on their legs from the wet. It works stupendously on both! Just a handful of treatments with MTG and viola you’re off for your next ride.

Cure not a treatment
By Karen on Mar 17, 2020
This is a sulphur based product which stops fungal and bacterial infections cold. Rainrot, scratches, and eczema are eliminated quickly without the need to bathe the area. I use it on dogs, goats, donkeys, llamas, and horses and am never without a cure.
