Is the bag recyclable? What type of plastic is it?

Currently the litter bags are not recyclable as it is essential that these bags keep moisture out to keep it from spoiling or clumping before it is used. However, SmartCat is working on a solution to that in the future. These bags currently have a variety of plastics in them.

Can this be used with automatic litter boxes? What size are the pellets?

The litter is not pellets, it varies in size. The biggest particle for the corn and wheat litter is usually 2.8 mm, and it ranges down to smaller particles. This litter functions well in automatic litter boxes. We recommend removing soiled litter daily for best results.

A mistake that turned out to be a great purchase

Bought this litter by mistake, as I usually order the grass litter. We are pleased with this as it clumps well and doesn't break up into little pieces.

I have 3 cats with 3 boxes. We have tried Pretty Litter, and 3 other clumping litters, and either they were dusty, stuck in my cats fur, messy or my eldest cat just

I have 3 cats with 3 boxes. We have tried Pretty Litter, and 3 other clumping litters, and either they were dusty, stuck in my cats fur, messy or my eldest cat just rendered them awful. This one is true to the reviews. No smell, NO dust, clumps GREAT. It does leave a bit ore of a trail as the grains are thicker, so we use a litter box mat outside the boxes to capture that. A+++ It’s natural so we also love the safety feature for our cats. No chemicals or scents, and it never sticks to there fur, even the long hair cat. Clean!

My cat doesn't seem to care but I definitely noticed that this c&w doesnt clump as well as the grass + the c&w has a funky scent, compared to the grass, which has no scent. I'll be sure to stick with the 100% grass version, ymmv
