These collars are made in the USA with full grain, naturally tanned, genuine leather. No harsh chemicals or dyes are used.

How many inches long is the large collar? The sizing chart does not answer this question.

The Small is 16 inches long and can fit a neck circumference of 11-13.5 inches. The Medium is 20 inches long and can fit a neck circumference of 14.5-17.5 inches. The Large is 24 inches long and can fit a neck circumference of 18-21 inches. The X-Large is 28 inches long and can fit a neck circumference of 22-25 inches.

How does this collar wear with a dog who loves water? Will it dry and still look nice?

It's not recommended to get this collar wet. When leather gets wet, the oils in the leather bind to the water molecules. The leather's loss of natural oils causes it to lose its supple quality and turn brittle.

I’m not one to write reviews unless I feel strongly about something - this collar is ultimate bang for buck. It’s genuine leather, and not the grainy kind, it’s thick and the hardware is high quality. I have a 45lb, nearly 1yr old Aussie. The large fits perfectly-circumference wise. I will say, the width of the collar is a bit big, but I like it as it helps me see it through his double + long aussie coat. I would definitely say it’s too big (collars flat width) for a heavy little dog - corgi, spaniel, etc.

The holes were not big enough to insert pin. And more importantly the leather was so thick you couldn't bend it to get into the loops. And the first loop was way

The holes were not big enough to insert pin. And more importantly the leather was so thick you couldn't bend it to get into the loops. And the first loop was way too close to the buckle. Do not buy this collar. A big disappointment. I had purchased the leash a few years ago and was excited to have a matching collar.

Quality leather collar.

My dog Brody is very strong and impulsive, and I have always worried that he would snap the plastic snap buckle on his old collar. I wanted a good leather collar

My dog Brody is very strong and impulsive, and I have always worried that he would snap the plastic snap buckle on his old collar. I wanted a good leather collar with an actual sturdy metal buckle and this collar certainly satisfied those requirements. The separate ring for leash attachment and dedicated metal loop for tags are a bonus. I'm very pleased with this purchase, and Brody looks very handsome with his new collar!

Buckle collar

I prefer a collar that buckles rather than the clip style. This collar has the d ring in the back that you can attach the leash to when not using the harness. Great

I prefer a collar that buckles rather than the clip style. This collar has the d ring in the back that you can attach the leash to when not using the harness. Great for quick potty trips. And I love the ring in front for attaching dog tags. It’s a little stiff at first but in time it becomes softer and more pliable. I have had three dogs over the years and have bought this collar for each one of them.

Quality leather!

These collars are very soft, padded leather and very well made. My older dog has had one for over a year and I just ordered one for the new puppy. My "granddads"

These collars are very soft, padded leather and very well made. My older dog has had one for over a year and I just ordered one for the new puppy. My "granddads" have them also. All the dogs are Golden Retrievers and their coats lay nicely with these collars.

It buckles and has width

Considering how big Kai is I preferred this one over the other options. Most of what I found available were breakaway collars. Don't misjudge I like breakaway collars

Considering how big Kai is I preferred this one over the other options. Most of what I found available were breakaway collars. Don't misjudge I like breakaway collars for safety reasons. Kai just happens to have enough of a leash tug to put me down on the ground and I'm by far light weight.

Long lasting and no rubbing

We ordered one of these collars for our Boxer who has issues with the fur on his neck getting rubbed off no matter the type of collar. He has worn his for 9 months

We ordered one of these collars for our Boxer who has issues with the fur on his neck getting rubbed off no matter the type of collar. He has worn his for 9 months and it still looks new plus it hasn’t rubbed his fur or irritated his neck at all! We have a new pup and immediately got one for him too. Plus we get compliments all the time on how great they look!

It is inappropriate for and possibly injurious to a very small dog.

It is nice looking with nice colors, but it is inflexible, thick and heavy, and the small metal loop dug into my little dog’s neck. It says it’s for small dogs like

It is nice looking with nice colors, but it is inflexible, thick and heavy, and the small metal loop dug into my little dog’s neck. It says it’s for small dogs like Yorkshire terriers. I would not recommend it for a little dog with a small neck. It’s almost impossible to buckle and unbuckle, which squeezed and hurt my dog, and it’s also too long for a small dog. I do not recommend this product.
