My 11 year old girl with chronic pancreatitis and multiple sensitivities really likes this food! It's been a struggle to find something that she will eat and can tolerate without ingredients like potato, chicken and lamb that is also low fat. Unfortunately the canned version of this formula has pork, which is another problem for her, but I created a complementary homemade topper for her made of whitefish, rice, broccoli and pumpkin and she enjoys a couple of spoonfuls mixed into the dry. She's had no tummy issues on this food and looks forward to mealtime again.

Our two mini schnauzers were having difficulties with pancreatitis. Our vet switched them to a prescription low-fat food. The company was backed up on production and did not have the food we needed for a while. We found this and it has been a game changer. We do not have to have a prescription for it. Our dogs love it, and they have not had any difficulties processing or digesting it. It has been good for their stomachs and pancreas issues.

Didn’t work for senior Labrador with sensitive stomach.

Although Baxter ate it without hesitation, it worsened his Diarrhea. It may be fine for other dogs so I’m giving it two stars. Also note that it smells very fishy

I have a standard poodle mix that was having reflux everyday, which was ruining his appetite, and he lost most of his weight. His vet recommended a prescription low fat diet but we both had concerns that prescription diets wouldn’t have the lean protein component that he needs to support his active lifestyle. Then, we found this food and it’s been a lifesaver - it’s like having a brand new dog! No more reflux, and with the calorie increase we’ve had him on, he’s now a healthy weight. Great fiber content and added omegas as well!

Our two English cockers have been on Square Pet low fat digestive support dry dog food for over a year now. Their weight is perfect for their size and age and they absolutely love these fishy kibbles. Their niece has been eating a different food and now she’s gotten so chubby that her health is at risk. So we ordered a small bag and sent it to her mom who’s now feeding it to her daily. We’re hoping to hear she’s lost some weight in the next few months and I’ll update this post if she does. It’s an excellent dog food and I highly recommend it for cockers since they’re so prone to weight gain and pancreatic issues.

Great Product

This is an amazing veterinarian-formulated food without needing a prescription! I got it for my dog that has a lot of allergies and a very sensitive digestive system

This is an amazing veterinarian-formulated food without needing a prescription! I got it for my dog that has a lot of allergies and a very sensitive digestive system. Her gas has drastically decreased since switching her to this food. You cannot beat the wholesome healthy ingredient list. It is a little spendy but it is worth the benefits and nutrition!

We have been battling chronic pancreatitis for the last 18 months, terrible flare ups even on a prescription low fat food. Our girl is 14 years old and I was giving up hope. I found this food and she is doing better than she has been in a year. She is comfortable, happy, and loves this food. She gets more calories but much less fat than the prescription foods she was on before. Since switching she has stopped shaking and has seemed better than ever!

A "prescription diet" without needing a prescription!

My 10-year old Border Collie was diagnosed with PLE two years ago and needs a low fat diet. This is the only food I could find that did not require a prescription

My 10-year old Border Collie was diagnosed with PLE two years ago and needs a low fat diet. This is the only food I could find that did not require a prescription that would satisfy his needs. Pricey, but necessary and less expensive that the other low-fat prescription diets available that he could not tolerate. After two years, I have finally found what I need to add to keep him from having constant diarrhea and keep some weight on, but he is fairly stable now. Only problem is that he has to eat three times a day because he never feels full. He used to eat 3/4 cup twice a day. Now he needs 4 1/2 cups per day to keep somewhat satisfied and keep some weight. But it is keeping him healthy and happy, so worth the expense and Chewy is so reliable about shipping on time!! (He is a very exuberant and active Border Collie who needs to work a lot!)

My dog won’t eat this food

I was hoping this food would be a good choice for my dog but she won’t eat it. It does smell strongly of fish. She wouldn’t even try it. She is very picky though

I was hoping this food would be a good choice for my dog but she won’t eat it. It does smell strongly of fish. She wouldn’t even try it. She is very picky though and had an extremely sensitive stomach and IBD. It’s been tough to find a food for her after Hills changed the formula of their z/d food.
