Do you have anything smaller than 50 lbs so I can see if my horse will like it and tolerate it? I'd hate to have a bag of feed he won't eat. Right now I have feed he's been eating for a year and he's decided he doesn't like it anymore.

Does this feed need to be soaked like beet pull or is it meant to be fed dry like a grain?

This feed does not require rehydration. Provide fresh, clean water, and free choice salt.

What is the iodine content of this feed (how many mg.)? The nutritional analysis does seem to contain an iodine supplement but perhaps some of the other ingredients do contain iodine.

This formula has approximately 1.85 parts per million of iodine on an as fed basis.

We originally purchased this as recommended by ECIR (Equine Cushing’s and Insulin Resistance) group for our donkey Valentino who could not be on pasture. He loved it. The pellets also make a great, safe treat when he couldn’t have apples or carrots because of the sugars. Doug the donkey gets teff pellets in the morning, which is a low sugar/low starch grass, and I toss in some Stabul 1 pellets because they’re so tasty. Doug is so worth it!
