Great shipping box! The meat was kept frozen thanks to the dry ice added and thermal lining. My ferrets love this mixed in their soups for dinner. Although it is a bit expensive and I wish I could find a meat grinder that could take on bones or whole animals for the nutrients this food provides.

I decided to try these chicken morsels for my 8 year old pomeranian--he's always had a sensitive stomach and sometimes skips meals for what I suspect is an upset

I decided to try these chicken morsels for my 8 year old pomeranian--he's always had a sensitive stomach and sometimes skips meals for what I suspect is an upset tummy. He also has difficulty chewing most kibble because his mouth is so small so he does better with softer food. The morsels are a nice size for him and the texture is easy for him to chew and swallow, though he loves this food so much that he wolfs it down and doesn't do much chewing! I have fed raw to other dogs in the past and expected a hard stool due to bone content; I was very happy to see that, even though this food includes ground bone, Oreo's stools were a normal healthy consistency. My only disappointment was that the bag says it thaws out of the freezer in minutes--it really didn't thaw as much as I liked unless it was out for half an hour. If it's still too cold when Oreo eats it he seems to be uncomfortable for a few minutes (probably because he swallows large chunks) so I've got to remember to plan ahead and thaw it for longer in the fridge. I had planned to just use this as a topper but Oreo's doing so well on it that he's now eating 100% Stella & Chewy's morsels. He never had any tummy or GI upset besides the time it wasn't thawed and looks forward to every meal.

I have been wanting to try this food and am SO glad we finally did. My dog LOVES IT. She has always been a big 'meat eater', so when I gave this to her for the first time, she didn't hesitate to dig in. It does come frozen in a bag which I like because I can give it to her sporadically as a treat and then continue to freeze the rest. The expiration on my bag is good for a year and a half from now, so that is a nice feature as well. The pieces thaw out quickly, but with an impatient pup, you may need to microwave them for only a few seconds so your dog can eat it before they chew their own paw off. The pieces are a decent size (not too small or big), and they smell like actual chicken - no funky smells. I have been using this food as a treat and a food topper, and it is always the first thing she goes for.

Stella & Chewy's Chicken Morsels Frozen Raw Dog Food Dinner Morsels were a HIT. I have a 7lb Morkie that is very picky about food. I usually soak her dry food and also make small bite of canned food. There are days she will refuse her meal if it is too "messy" . As a dog butler I am always searching for new ways to improve my rescue client. Stella & Chewy's Morsels worked fine! The dinner morsels thaw quickly, I cut them in two as she likes small bites. It has been a "clean plate " for several days now! My rescue pug will eat anything you put in front of him. So....I top his special "weight maintenance" food with 1 morsel. He vacuums it up super fast. I think it is safe to say that this will be a staple in our freezer from now on! I started with Chewy's Chicken first...but I am sure the pups will look forward to other flavors in the future! Sorry, I have to go....my "clients" are ringing their dinner bell....

This one is a little hard for me to review, I believe because I live in Texas and it is very hot that it had completely thawed by the time I got it. I put it in the freezer to store and when I opened it later all the pieces were so stuck together that I could not break any apart. I did not like that they were kernels like dry dog food, so you can’t see what is in it, compared to a different brand of raw dog food which had actual chuncks of chicken and vegetables that could clearly be seen.

I am not comfortable with the handling directions on this product. The package says it "thaws in minutes," to serve it cold and not to microwave. This absolutely does not thaw in "minutes," so what is a safe amount of time to let it thaw? I cut the morsels in half to speed the thawing, which still didn't happen in "minutes," but I feel the instructions need to be accurate and realistic. They are not. This is my first time buying frozen food and I am very wary of mishandling it.

My dog loves these chicken morsels. And what's fun is they're versatile by either serving thawed (they do thaw quickly) or as a frozen treat (kind of like an ice cube only way tastier)! There are a lot of morsels in the bag so if a handful are thawed and used as a topper or just a few morsels are given as treats right out of the freezer, they last a long time. The morsels stay fresh in the freezer and the bag really doesn't take up much space. Now, every time I open the freezer, my dog comes running!

I’ve been wanting to try a raw food option for my aging doxie for a while, so I thought I’d give this a try. I like the formula and was very hopeful. I could only feed this to him for his evening meal because it needs to be thawed first. It specifically says not microwave it. It takes a lot longer for it to thaw out than they say on the package, so time is an issue with his morning meal. I mixed it with his regular food slowly as to not upset his stomach. He didn’t care for it in the end. These are just my own thoughts and observations.
