ps: the title is incorrect—this is the chicken and salmon recipe. story time: I was walking my dog when a tiny tuxedo kitten ran up to me meowing, so what did I do? well of course I scooped her up and went home kitten in one hand and dog leash in the other. I had some all life stages food I let her have, but, as my resident cat Mika is five years old, no kitten food. Ultimately settled on this as 1) I’ve used and liked Stella and Chewy’s freeze dried foods in the past, and 2) ingredients wise it didn’t look as bad as some other wet kitten foods out there. Having only eaten dry the first few days, the baby was a liiiiittle apprehensive about trying wet — but I took a finger (gross, I know, but it works!) and smeared a little on her mouth — and soon after that she was eating it happily. tldr; not a bad first food at all
The food smell is not super strong which makes me feel better since the ingredients are so simple. Some other brands their can food smells so fragrant. It took some convincing for the kitty to finally eat it ( topper/ fish oil) but she likes it now!
My 2 lil kitten sisters eat anything but turned didn't like this food at all. The 3 adults didn't either. Nice ingredients but I guess lacking in flavor? Momma raccoon has 2 new kits so I'll save it for them.
I currently have 4 foster kittens who tend to have digestion issues and are rather picky about what they will eat. Decided to try Stella & Chewy's kitten food on them. I was amazed to not only see them gobble it down, but they actually licked the bowl clean.
My kitten loves Stella and Chewys freeze dried food, like a lot, but he wouldn't even try this food. He sniffed it and immediately buried it with his paw. I love this brand and love their ingredients, but my kitten didn't like it.
Ingredients are good but the smell is not, and kittens do not like it at all
I'm sure it's a very good food but my foster kittens didn't care for it :(
Thought the ingredients looked healthy. Kitten doesn't like it.
