This was a great food to add into our meal times and snack times. The biggest downside is that it lives in the freezer and needed to thaw before being used (and not in the microwave with a quick defrost, like a long overnight thaw) so that knocked the rating down for me. It was harder for me to remember to take it out and remember to thaw it in order for us to use it regularly so it’s not something I would personally get again for that reason. I need quicker meals. The dogs loved the flavor and once thawed it was easy to divide and portion out. It worked well for even the picker eater as she wanted more and more. This will stay a once in a while treat but not be a regular mealtime occurrence at this house.

Stella and Chewy’s frozen raw dandy lamb dinner patties Arrived in dry ice. It must be kept frozen. I really like that it is raw because I feed a raw diet to my Aussie. I also like that not only does it have just lamb meat, but it has lamb liver, lamb spleen, lamb Heart, lamb kidney, lamb bone as well as some fruits and vegetables. This makes it a well rounded meal that includes the muscle meat, organs and bone all in one product. What I really like is the convenience of it being in one patty and you don’t have to mix different ingredients. I do make a lot of Jessie’s food myself but I certainly like having this product to fill in the gaps on those times when I’m in a hurry or don’t have time or don’t want to take the time to make a balanced meal for my Sweet puppy. He seems to like it quite well also.

We have a boy who has a sensitive stomach so trying new food can be a nightmare, but the Stella and Chewy's Dandy Lamb was a hit! The package stays frozen until needed and it did not take up much space in the freezer. I took what i needed out the night before and by breakfast it was thawed. It does not have a smell or make any mess while thawing either. The lamb patties are disk shaped and that helps allow better storage in the freezer as well. The bag does have a nice reusable zipper so you do not have to worry about freezer burn. We did make this an addition to the food so we did not feed the serving size. Our dog actually loved the lamb so much he picked around and only ate the patties! We did not notice any digestive problems so we will take this win!

I knew I had to give Stella & Chewy's Frozen Dandy Lamb Patties a try, especially since Stella & Chewy's offers such a fantastic variety of protein choices. I primarily use these delicious patties as a food topper to enhance Lady's meals, and she absolutely adores them! It's clear she loves the taste and texture. Important Note on Raw Food: It's crucial to remember that this is a raw meat product. Always handle it with care, just as you would any raw meat for human consumption. Thawing Instructions: To prepare the patties, I typically thaw a few in the refrigerator overnight in a closed container. You can also place them in a sealed bag in a bowl of cool water for faster thawing if you're in a pinch. Just make sure they are fully thawed before serving. Feeding as a Main Food Source: While I use these as a topper, I've looked into the feeding guidelines for a dog of Lady's size (45 lbs) if this were her sole food source. For an adult dog of her weight, Stella & Chewy's generally recommends feeding approximately 6-7 patties per day, divided into two meals. I feed my dog Bailey home-cooked food in the morning. In the evening, this Stella & Chewy's frozen raw food is perfect to round out her nutrient needs. It contains organ meats that I am reluctant to handle and cook for her, myself. I have fed other Stella & Chewys foods (Bailey Loves all of the treats!), and so this is a company I already trust. And most of all, it is Bailey-approved for taste and texture! As a side-note, there is NOT alot of odor with these premade patties. If you have a picky eater (or a smell-sensitive human!) - these are just great.

I prefer food items that are not gluten/wheat free as there has been research that says there is correlation with wheat free and cardiac complications. Otherwise it was enjoyed by my dogs

Dandy Lamb frozen patties has become a very popular addition to meal time. The raw nutrition craved by dogs and they are made in the USA which is important to me. Easy to defrost the desired amount needed overnight in the refrigerator and watch your best friend's excitement. The older dogs, (in year 17), are on supplements and at times I have "found them" in their food. Since using Dandy Lamb their bowls are licked clean! I fed the "grand dogs" (ages 4 & 6), Dandy Lamb while they were visiting and they asked if they could take a "doggie bag" of patties home with them. Until their Mom receives her order, I think these grand-babies will be coming for dinner even more. I have always tried to feed my dogs the best quality and nutrition and have found it in the Dandy Lamb product.

We tried Stella & Chewy's Dandy Lamb Dinner Patties and our dogs loved them. We just use them as a topper on kibble for our picky eater so he will eat his food. I like that the ingredients are top notch, single source and made in the USA. Great for dogs with special diets. The patties are very easy to break up and add to the kibble. The bag also is easy to store and resealable.

Loose stools!!

We always ordered the freeze dried one. Same formula the dandy lamb. We thought now that we have one dog and he is much smaller we should give him something more

We always ordered the freeze dried one. Same formula the dandy lamb. We thought now that we have one dog and he is much smaller we should give him something more fresh like frozen patty but somehow he got loose stool almost every day in the morning we had to stop half bag and planning to give away to neighbor dogs. Cuz it’s frozen and I don’t know how to return opened bag!! Will go back to order dried freeze ones
