Black pepper is used in Wysong Pet Diets because it is high in piperine. This compound increases vitamin and mineral absorption by as much as 250% or more. Piperine also has anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, and anti-depression activity. It can also help lower blood pressure, regulate vasodilation and boost the immune system.

Will this food work to help prevent crystals in cats. My cat is prone to crystals.

Shape and hardness is not great for ones that don't chew their dry food.

I made the mistake of putting him back on regular food after several years of no issues. Unfortunately after another blockage on a holiday weekend, there wasn’t much of a savings. He has had no problems since and really enjoys eating this.

Not sure if the food helped. Used it in conjuction with meds and uretic wet food. But my cat started getting bored with the food about half way through. Didn't mind
