Cat Loves it, but Packaging is frustrating
My cat absolutely loves these, I use them as treats, he isn't very food motivated normally but loves to go after these. I've been buying regularly for a year or so, but the packaging has really frustrated me. The last 2-3 bags I've gotten as I open them they rip so that they're not able to re-seal properly. The first bag is when I pulled on the tear-away strip at the top, and figured I'd maybe done it wrong. Second bag I was much more careful and same thing happened, so figured may I should stop using the easy-open tear away. Third bag I specifically spent 2-3 minutes carefully trying to open with scissors to not ruin it, and still the re-sealable portion comes delaminated from the inside of the bag. Normally I wouldn't care too much, but this is frustrating because this is a really expensive bag of treats, now I have it spilling into my drawer, having it going stale instead of staying fresh for a month or two for my little guy, and my cat is always trying to get into the bag/drawer.
Freeze dried "morsels"
Great product. Do not use it as directed on package. Use for treats....she loves these as they are a nice size...she likes to eat one out of my hand...this is her "kitty candy" Nourishing and better than those tiny pieces they sell as "treats".
awesome cat food
I have been trying to transition my cats to this food for many years, but they never seemed to like it. I keep trying, and this time I realized they will eat it if I do not rehydrate it but use it as a topper for their kibble. In a perfect world we would get rid of all the kibble for our furry friends, cats and dogs, and replace it with something real like Stella and Chewy. No-one can survive on dried process food for very long. Our best friends deserve the best, and Stella and Chewy's is definitely one of the the best cat foods out there. I love that they use cage free chicken. Here's to a cage free world! Thank you Chewy for all you do for our best friends.
my ferrets love this
i’ve been feeding my ferrets this for the last 4 years and they just absolutely love it. i mixed it with warm water 1:1 and blend it up on my nutrabullet. i wish it wasn’t soo expensive but it’s obviously not a huge deal since i’ve been buying it for 4 years! definitely recommend :)
Vomit Inducer
All three of my cats seemed to love this one causing me to immediately order four more bags while the price was low. Of course the next day I realized they all had vomited it up. I had cat vomit everywhere and it was obvious it was from this. Now I know cats will vomit occasionally but waiting a day and trying this feed again resulted in more vomit so I have no doubt this stuff is not tolerated by any of my cats. One of my cats is a ragdoll and sensitive to lots of food but never vomits - it's on the other end that there's a problem. In this case it was on the front-end every time he ate it. All my cats love and do great with the chicken only version of this but the Salmon & Chicken is clearly a no go. I was hoping to try all the flavors but now I'll just stick to the chicken to avoid the hassle. None of my cats will eat this type of food wet as per the instructions and this was no exception. They will only eat it dry, which maybe causes the problem, I dunno, but again, they never puke up the chicken version. Thanks to Chewy for taking back the additional bags I ordered. Sorry I didn't wait longer to confirm this food was tolerated. At least the racoons, opossums and stray cats in my neighborhood all seem to love this stuff - hopefully they tolerate it better.
It’s a hit with BOTH cats
While my little girl eats most things I’ve offered her my male is very picky. I was surprised when I found he likes this. I typically just sprinkle one or two pieces on their wet food twice a day or soak a nugget into the juices from their wet food. They both love it. Happy cat mom here.
What a hit
I have 3 picky eaters who all have their own tastes. This food is a hit i crumbled some on their regular food all 3 kinds and they at every bit of their helpings!!!! Usually i throw away more than they eat. Not tonight they licked their plates clean i will definitely buy again well worth the price and its not full of things i would never feed my babies. Hello new cat food brand.
