In many cases, the surgical area for the cat is very close to the urination area. The shirt is completely closed (regardless of gender) to ensure that the entire torso of every physique is protected. Due to the specially tailored opening on the back, the majority of cats can use the litterbox while wearing the shirt fully closed. It is recommended to always supervise your cat and check for urine strains on the shirt after using the litterbox.

Will this work for a male kitten post neutering surgery?

This recovery suit is not suitable for use after neutering/castration of male cats. The surgical area after neutering/castration is not protected.

My Lucy absolutely hated the cone after being spayed. Luckily, the vet recommended this alternative and chewy is fast with shipping. She took to it so fast and she can't reach her belly where her stitches are. I only wish they made a suit for when boys get neutered. My boy cat Desi just hates his cone and I wish there was a suit for him so he didnt have to wear it. Anyway, highly recommend!

Well made, slightly big

My kitten is about 5.5lbs and 12.5” from neck to base of tail, she got spayed 4 days ago. She was on crate rest for a few days but was getting restless and lonely

My kitten is about 5.5lbs and 12.5” from neck to base of tail, she got spayed 4 days ago. She was on crate rest for a few days but was getting restless and lonely without her brother so I ordered this suit so she could be with him in a bedroom instead of the crate. I put it on her about 30min ago and she’s been playing with her toy mice and eating. I ordered the 3xs and it’s a little bit big on her but she hasn’t shown any effort to get out of it yet. I’m glad I didn’t order the 2xs or it would have been huge on her. She’s a petite girly and despite measuring as a 3xs, I do think a size smaller would have fit slightly better. She absolutely hated me putting the suit on her but I’d rather her have an unpleasant minute or two than risk her cleaning her incision and a potential infection.

Expensive but it was worth it and it saved me some sanity.

I purchased a couple of surgery suits to prepare for my kitten's spay appointment as she is a complete energetic spaz and I did not want her getting to her sutures

I purchased a couple of surgery suits to prepare for my kitten's spay appointment as she is a complete energetic spaz and I did not want her getting to her sutures. She was not a fan at first but the material was thick enough her licking the fabric did not matter. She awkwarld was able to use the bathroom, unlike the other suit we tried. After she got used to it she wasn't bothered too much by it. It was expensive but I am glad I got it, just in case the other one did not work out.

I bought 2 of these and returned them. Very clingy material, hard to get it on. It was a struggle to try it on the cat before her surgery. I couldn't imagine trying

I had two kittens get spayed and neutered, so I used this one for my little girl and the other one we had for her brother. I nicknamed them Crash and Burn due to

I had two kittens get spayed and neutered, so I used this one for my little girl and the other one we had for her brother. I nicknamed them Crash and Burn due to their high energy play, but these suits forced them to slow down and stay away from their surgery site so they could heal properly. The girl would stare at me and grunt, asking me to take it off of her, and the boy just begged for sympathy from the other cats. Two weeks later, both were healed perfectly. They could return to their birthday suits, and we didn't have to deal with the cone crashes or other cats licking their wounds for them. You might wash them a few times to soften them up (my girl had raw nipples by the time she got out of it, but we did wash them first), but it performed the way I needed it to. The straps on this zebra print one seem to be wider than the one on the camouflage, so you may take that into consideration when picking one out.
