This pond treatment has a strong odor since it contains straw that has been decomposed.
What is the dosage for treatment.

Please reference the image for the proper dosages. Barley straw extract may be used at any time but best results have been reported by people starting in early spring when the water temperature is low. Barley straw extract should be used weekly to help maintain pond clarity.
I know this product says that other creatures will not be harmed by it- does that include dogs that may drink the pond water?

This extract works naturally to keep water clear and is harmless to fish, plants and animals (including dogs or other animals who may drink the water).

Adequate replacement

Used the extract because the straw was unavailable. Followed the quantity instructions for my stock pond. I have seen some clearing will need to reorder to achieve lasting improvement.

Clear-Water Barley Straw Extract Pond Treatment

I am so glad I found this product and really glad that Chewy carries it. I use it in my pond and water fountain to keep the water clear and clean for the birds and fish. I also help the neighbors with their pond as it has no protection from the hot sun and becomes very green if not taken care of. So glad it has no chemicals, that takes a lot of the worry out of using it.
