My parakeet absolutely loves this stuff, instead of ripping up gravel paper she now enjoys this! Life saver
my boys love stuffing this into their hides as bedding (not to be confused w substrate for the bottom of the cage)
Our finches were absolutely delighted to have this. They have stuffed their nests, and I have to say, it looks pretty sticking out of their nests, too. It drapes well. Haha
The next bedding I bought it for a friend of mine for her parakeets and it seemed to work fine thank you
Arrived quickly and our finches are enjoying this nesting material.
Not recommend go or finches this nest killed both of mine they got stuck in it. I’m very sad lost my 2 finches.
Too stiff... prefer horse hair from tail or man shedding.
I used this bedding for my baby birds, they were 4 weeks old and starting to walk around in their nest. I noticed a clump of bedding by one of the babys foot, I removed him from the cage in time to find part of the bedding was wrapped around his foot, tightly. I was able to cut it away but not before damage was done. It was swollen and nearly severed, he wouldn't use it at all. After removing the bedding and replacing it with paper towels, a few days later i noticed it was still swollen but he was standing on it. It has been nearly 2 weeks and he walks around on it but he cannot grab with it. I held him and he latches with his good foot but his other he can't grip. I watched as he stood on a rope with one foot and when he tried lifting his other foot, it just slipped off. He's not flying yet so I really don't know how he'll get around with one foot, all he's done is walked around on a flat surface. Its so sad that this happened. Please check your product and be sure it IS safe for the pets it claims to be safe for, it was not safe for my baby Lovebirds. Thank you! Sandy
I got this to put out for wild birds while they look for nesting materials and it's great! Just put it in one side of the suet feeder and it works well and they are coming and taking it.
My finches want little to do with this stuff Primary cause it's not really appropriate for them, either pieces are way to big for them or if you shred small pieces it just gets blown out of cage and wasted So for small birds a waste of money for sure
