My guinea pigs did not like it

Poor quality hay in this batch. Strange, thin, curly pieces, no nice green flat leaves. Ended up using it as bedding cuz my pets wouldn't eat it.

We were using this as an every day hay for my rabbit. He ended up having a lot of gastric issues. It has no flower heads and is super thin/frail/dark and sometimes even an icky brown. The rabbits did love it for a while to be honest. It was long strands and smelled amazing, but the last few times it is almost a completely different type of hay and they have very little interest! Either way I dont believe it holds a lot of nutritional value for the bunnies. We ran out of the 1st cut recently and we had to supplement with this again. Their poops immediately started turning a hard and ugly dark brown/black shape vs. the green/brown they were on the regular hay. They sound like rocks when I cleaned them up in the dust pan. Just be careful. Maybe feed it as a 2nd hay, but make sure they get a main one with more fiber. Hopefully they go back to the old quality as well!

Buns fav hay

Far above all other hay we’ve tried, Nabbit and Remy love this hay most of all. They love the crunch of the hay and they love the flowers/herbs

One rabbit loved it, one not so much

One of my rabbits really love it, she leaves nothing behind like the 2nd cut Timothy hay.

Stick with the 20oz. bag

I have purchased this item in bulk and the quality isn't the same as the smaller bag. Love the smaller bags, the bulk box, not so much!

How Hay Should Be

I've been buying timothy hay from Sweet Meadow Farm for years. My rabbits and chinchillas love it and it looks and smells all natural - like the hay my horses eat

We've been using this product for our guinea pigs for a couple of years. We rotate it with the Oxbow Organic Timothy Hay and the Oxbow Lavendar Hay. The hay is always soft and seems of good quality and has ample herbs like the chamomile buds. I read some of the negative reviews and those experience definitely didn't sound good - but we haven't had an experience like that. Our guinea pigs seem to enjoy it, and they like to burrow in it sometimes because it is so soft. We usually by the bag pictured with this listing, and it will last us for a month or two since we rotate it.
