    Excellent food choice

    By on

This rabbit food is both bunny approved AND vet approved, couldn't be better. I have nothing negative to say about it. I like that the bags are small. My bunny only eats 1/4 cup pellets per day, so a bag lasts quite a while, and I don't have to worry about the food going bad before the bag is finished. Definitely recommend this food to everybunny!

    Confident in this brand

    By on

I was turned to Oxbow pellets after a friend I had made, mentioned Oxbow being a great quality feed for our buns. Our friend is a researcher for the house rabbit society, so I really trusted her recommendation. Look for pellets had become desperate for us, as my partner is severely allergic to Timothy hay. That means about 75% of all things rabbit is out of the question for us. We were so relieved to find Oxbow, a trustworthy brand carry a line that has the nutrients we need with no Timothy hay included. I hope they never discontinue this particular line. Our young-adult bun, (1yo 3mo) LOVES this pellet. We even have switched our “baby” bun, (9mo) to the alfalfa “young rabbit” pellet by oxbow I was turned to Oxbow pellets after a friend I had made, mentioned Oxbow being a great quality feed for our buns. Dini Bunneh endorses it!

    By on

I think the previous packaging was the Bene Terra Organic Rabbit Food. I had been trying to look for the exact one but cannot seem to find it anywhere. It's the only one that would make Dini produce the 'golden poops'. I chanced upon this and after the description on Chewy, found that this is the new packaging for the Bene Terra. Ordered two packets and when I opened them, they smell and look the same. Sorry, for me, I can only do the smell test. Love their pellet size (bigger than the usual Oxbow pellets for Rabbits). Dini loves them as usual and I love how their pellets look, fresh mainly! :) Thank you for the really fast delivery, Chewy! My two Lionhead Dwarf rabbits love this food! They are usually pretty picky when changing foods but, not this time. :)

    Yay for Organic!

My rabbit loves this food and it makes me happy that it’s natural and organic. I cannot find this product in stores which is why I turn to Chewy especially since they offer these great organic options—along with great prices!

    Bunny likes it!

    By on

I like that it does NOT have soy (the "Oxbow Essentials Bunny Basics/T Adult Rabbit Food" and "Oxbow Essentials Bunny Basics Young Rabbit Food" do have soy). My bunny really likes this food. She eats the recommended amount though. Her diet is mainly Oxbow botanical hay, green vegetables, a little fruit, and water. So this food is among the "treats" which she loves.

    Wanted to love this...

    By on

I really wanted to love this product as the quality seems to be so superior to most rabbit foods, but my rescue bunny went on a full force food strike when I tried to make the switch. I’m sure it’s my rabbit that’s defective rather than the food, as he’s got all kinds of attitude about absolutely everything else under the sun, but I had to give up on this rabbit food and switch him back after a three week battle. I donated the nearly full bag to a local 4H kiddo whose fancy show rabbit isn’t one tenth as snotty as my little fourth-hand mutt of a bunny. The product itself seems like it would be great if the bunnies you’re feeding it to aren’t obstinate little jerks.

He loves this food. Always gets excited when I have the bag and he jumps when he knows there's food in his bowl. Highly recommended
