This is the best I’ve found for my piggies! I’ve tried other brands but this is the only hay mine will eat. They go nuts when I open the container that I store this hay in. As soon as I put it in their cage they run around and squeal and play like it’s catnip! It’s very high quality, you won’t regret this purchase!
So fresh, so green, just awesome looking. My bun seems to like it too
This is the first time I purchase from this brand. Before I was so exhausted trying to find the timothy hay my picky bunnies would eat so they don't get GI stasis. The Viking farmer's first cut timothy hay is green, and crunchy, and almost dust free! My bunnies hop into it pretty soon when I opened the box!
Bunny likes this hay. It has a lot of long straws, minimal dust and chaff. My bunny always preferred the coarser timothy hays. There are almost no leaves and "soft parts". Nice green color and smells fresh.
this hay is amazing quality and my rabbit loves it!! she jumps into the box whenever she gets the chance and does not let it go to waste. this hay is tougher than what you would get from main brands and that is exactly what 1st cut hay is supposed to be so you can tell Viking hay cares about their hay. i have purchased several boxes over the past year and the quality remains top notch!
I bought vikings for two times and suprisingly the quality is very consistent. Comparing to other hays, I would say vikings has a more crunchy texture and that's exactly what my piggie loves. If your piggie loves crunchy texture hays, go for this one.
Too stalky/crunchy for my rabbits preference. My rabbits much prefer the Organic Oxbow Meadow hay. I have yet to find any hay that compares.
first this box did not feel like five pounds at all but the worst is that even thought there were a lot of seed heads the majority of the hay was long very stiff sharp stalks and the waste was tremendous!!! But the very worst was small " V " shaped light tan burrs that get caught in the fleece and are quite difficult to pull out BUT the most concerning thing was I found the piggies acting like they had them caught in their throats as soon as I saw that i got rid of all the hay and took it all out of their cages BE CAREFULL
This is nice looking hay and smells fresh little long for piggies so I cut my in half they love it. So I will buy again.
We’ve tried so many different hay brands and my rabbit would eat it for a bit and then most of it would end up in the litter box or on the floor from him trying to find the few pieces he would eat. We eventually landed on BM Hay and thought that was it until he started doing the same exact thing after the first box. After lots of searching and reviews we bought this box and it was like magic. The box is smaller than what we were ordering but our rabbit is actually eating it with minimal waste so definitely worth it. Just ordered our second auto ship of it!
