Great Stuff
My guinea pigs go bonkers for this oat hay. They absolutely love it, the quality is unmatched compared to store bought brands. This smells like fresh cut hay and looks green/not brittle or over dry. I did not find dirt or rocks in any of my boxes. The hay is a great value, more affordable than other brands as well. My boxes of hay have been well packed, there are plenty of the tops of the hay stalks for them to forage for and they immediately notice when they get new hay. So far this has been the best hay I've found for my pig
Dirty hay with lumps of dirt and rocks in it
The hay itself looked and smelled great, but unfortunately as soon as stared filling the feeder with it some huge lumps of dirt fell out of it. It was concerning enough for me not to give it to my guinea pigs, so I threw most of it out. And I’m glad I did since in the middle of it I found a few had rocks. It’s highly disappointing since usually Viking Farmer company has pretty good hay.
2nd order and not happy to see this in the box
This was my 2nd order of Oat Hay from Viking. I kept the hay in the original box and I've been taking out a little at a time to feed my guinea pigs. I'm about 1/2 way through and I noticed that there was a lot of (what looked like) fine dirt falling off the hay when I was pulling it out of the box. I know that hay comes from the farm, and that there's dirt on a farm too, but I feel that feeding hay coated in dirt to guinea pigs is not the best for them. I don't recall seeing this dirt when I ordered my first box. I'm now debating whether to order from this vendor again.
Wonderful Product
Viking Farmer Oat hay has been an awesome find for us. We had been buying oat hay from another vendor it was variable and poor quality. We have ordered many times from Viking Farmer and the quality has been top-notch every time. Our guinea pigs act like I am giving them the best treat ever. Oat hay has been the one hay we are not allergic to so the Viking Farmer quality is great for us as well. Their customer service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Freshest Oat Hay
Viking Farmer oat hay has never disappointed my expectations. This 5 lb. Box is full to the brim of fresh smelling hay. There are also plenty of seed pods to satisfy my persnickety bunny. I would order again if it were not out of stock.

I love that I have another vendor where I can get quality oat hay that my bunny likes. Nice wide long green leaves with plenty of seeds to chew on. Unfortunately I did find some good size rocks in my 5# box so I attached a picture with a measuring tape next to it for scale purposes. That was my criteria for the 4 star rating.
Hay, it's really great!!
So good! My buns are historically picky hay eaters but they actually were so excited to eat this. They sometimes chose it over salad if I give it all to them at the same time. Unheard of???
