Straw is used mostly for bedding, but some pets enjoy chewing the more stalky strands of straw.
Mostly dust and very small pieces of hay
I think it would be better if it was chopped up and not so long AMD hard to pull apart
I would not buy this hay. It’s brown & dried up. I’ve never tried this brand so I thought I would see if it was good or not. It’s so gross I’m not even gonna give it to my animals. I pulled some out of the bag & it was very dusty. It was like a cloud of dirt. Not good quality hay at all!! I can’t even give it to anyone because it’s so bad. Normally if they don’t like something I can give it to a friend but not this it’s just gross.
This brand of timothy hay for guinea pigs is terrible. The bag arrived with brown, old-looking hay in it that none of my guinea pigs would eat. This was a waste of money and I should have returned it.
My piggies were not happy with this batch, it was full of dried leaves and dried up grass. It was beyond eating; I tried to pick the dried tree leaves out but there were too many.
This hay was dry, brown and my guinea pigs wouldn't eat it. They did use it for a bathroom so it wasn't a total waste of money.
My Guinea pigs absolutely love this Hey , It was unfortunate that it came unraveled and was messy upon opening the box it came in :-(
My rabbit would not touch this hay. In fairness I must say he tends to be very choosy. I personally found this hay to be bland smelling. It also looked more like grass hay and not timothy.
My daughter recommended that I try Chewy, and this hay was one of the first things I ordered. My little boys liked the hay from the grocery store, but it wasn't in their top five favorites. When I opened the bag of Sweet Meadow Farm hay, I thought it smelled much better than the other brand. My guinea pigs agreed, because they ran at it and into it! Sometimes they just stick their heads in it, sometimes they lie down on it while they eat it, and sometimes they make a tunnel into it. They don't act like this with any other food. I've never had guinea pigs react this way to food.
I have been feeding my Guinea pigs this hay and it always seems like they go crazy over it and munch happily
