About Taste of the Wild Dog Food

The Diet Nature Intended

They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.

Energy That Lasts

Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.

Ingredients for Better Health

The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.

TOMATOES AND TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.

BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.

RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

Picky Eaters Who??

I highly recommend Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain Grain-Free Dry Dog Food for all dog owners out there! As a pet parent myself, I can confidently say that this dog food is an excellent choice for picky eaters. One thing that really impressed me about this dog food is its nutritional value. It's grain-free and made with real roasted lamb as the first ingredient, so it's packed with high-quality protein to support my dog's muscles and energy levels. Additionally, it contains a variety of fruits and vegetables, which provide essential vitamins and minerals for optimal health. Another thing that I love about this dog food is that it's free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. This is a huge plus for me since I want to make sure that my furry friend is eating a healthy and natural diet. What's more, my picky dog absolutely loves the taste of this dog food! It has a delicious, meaty flavor that he can't resist, and it has helped to improve his appetite and overall health. I'm happy to say that he is now more active, playful, and has a beautiful, shiny coat. Overall, I would definitely recommend Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain Grain-Free Dry Dog Food to any dog owner looking for a nutritious and delicious dog food for their furry friend. It's a great investment in your dog's health and well-being.

Made both of my doodles sick.

Neither of my doodles have ever had GI issues. 3m ago I switched them to this brand. Tried a few different flavors, and noticed a correlation with the timing of constant diarrhea in both dogs. Both tested negative per vet of GI parasites/infections, etc. Many same recent experiences posted by others, and now product is out of stock. Will not got back to this food line again.

Something is different

My dogs have eaten Taste of the Wild their whole lives. We change proteins every once in awhile, but have been on Sierra Mountain Grain free for about 6months. This most recent bag we received on auto ship must taste different because my GSD hasn’t wanted to eat it without something mixed in, and my Golden retriever (who eats ANYTHING and EVERYTHING) hasn’t been finishing her meals. Not sure what’s up.

Sally great customer service

I bought a bird cage and found out that I didn't need it and chewy told me to donate it. They said you don't have to send it back and gave me store credit? How cool is that great place to do business friendly people to interact with. thanks

She loves it

We were using another brand that was grain free but they recently switched their ingredients so we decided to try this with our Saint Bernard, I had been adding sweet potatoes to their food but this one has it all and she loves it. The other food would take her ask day to nibble through, this one she gobbled down, her coat is soft and healthy and she was on the thinner side she is filling out finally. I definitely recommend

Our Dogs LOVE this food!

We have two Wheaten Terriers that absolutely love this food and it is grain free! It was recommended by our dog's breeder and our dogs have been on it since puppies. We would never consider changing!

Sierra Mountain

I have looked all over locally and the pet supply stores here have quit carrying this flavor, and my dog loves it. Leave it to Chewy to be the one I can count on to have what I need. Thanks so much for always being there for me.

Good for sensitive stomachs

Just transitioned my pups from PPP for sensitive skin and stomach due to diarrhea and let me tell you it works wonders. Besides the fact that my dog absolutely loves the taste, his stool is perfect and it only took a couple of days to transition.

Made my dog VERY sick

Ended up in the ER vet with a dog that after eating a small intro portion of this food, threw up all day and needed medical attention. I will never feed TOTW again.
