Dog doesn't like this as much as the salmon/fish flavor

    By on

I got started on Tender & True after meeting the Cal sales rep at a breakfast bar at a Hampton Inn in Nevada. He sent me a sample box and my dog loved this product. So, I ordered this from Chewy. I chose the chicken and rice because I wanted the dog to have a food with some rice in it for a while. The dog doesn't like this as much as the salmon/fish flavor, but I put some of the kibble in his toys and he's eating a full meal just fine. I suppose it's not as appetizing to his palate as the other.

    Dogs like it

    By on

Both my dogs like this food and I like the ingredient list. There is an odd fish odor to the food , probably due to the flaxseed, but it doesn't seem to bother the dogs. I really like that the chicken used is humanely raised.

    Quality food

Hi! My elderly dog has a sensitive gut. This food agrees with her stomach and she needs less b/c of the high quality ingredients! Thank you for caring about your ingredients, your clients and animals.

    Best poops yet

    By on

Dog is extremely extremely picky and gets bored of food after a few days. He also has a sensitive stomach that results in very loose stool. Thus, I'm always on the hunt for my holy grail brand. This isn't it as he didn't eat it 40% of the time, even with a topper. However, his droppings were pretty perfect and that hasn't really happened before. The poops are also smaller and not as often. Love the ingredients too. I'm trying to limit his potato and pea consumption and this is a great alternative that actually agrees with his tummy. Also like that I don't have to feed as much as some other brands with comparable ingredients. I think I'll add this to his rotation until I find something better. Fantastic Food!!

    By on

I was looking for a new food for my favorite pet. I came across Tender and True. I reviewed their website, looked through their ingredients and I found it here on Chewy. The one thing I was excited about was that their proteins were GAP certified and part of the Global Animal Partnership- the humane treatment and animal welfare program. That is something we believe in. He loved Tender and True and is gobbling it up. I have never seen him so excited while eating. Thanks

Dog wont eat it... too bad... Great ingredients.

    By on

I believe deeply in buying humanly raised meat products. For some reason my dog did not care for this product. Was hoping she would. Ingredients seem fine. Not sure why she just does not care for it. So I mixed with her other hard to find dog food. No adverse reactions. She remained healthy just didnt like the food. : /

    Good for sensitive tummies

    By on

I have two dogs and we have tried several other premium foods to help with my sensitive tummy dog. This has been very good for him, he does not vomit after eating, which was always such an issue. Both dogs love the food and are very excited when it is time to eat.

    Tender & True is great

    By on

Found this dogfood form a previous source (now out of business - Flint River) and it is great. No problems and no issues. Chewy is one of the few places to carry it and I ordered it on line (first time user) which was easy and it was there in 2 days. WOW. Thanks. Karma is thrilled (our golden)

    My dogs love this food!

    By on

We've tried 3 different brands and the dogs settled on this one over Blue Buffalo and Natural Balance. Our oldest dog developed allergies a while back so we need a good quality food. We tried grain free, limited diet and we found this one at a grocery store and decided to try it. They went nuts, to the effect, they were picking the pieces of the natural balance out of the bowl and leaving it on the floor, to only eat the Tender & True. Even better, we've noticed a definite difference in the older ones energy level.
