displeased to say the least
the picture is nothing like what the kit shows. you get no gravel, which aquatic turtles require, it has no basting area as shown on the picture, but my biggest complaint is that the filter it comes with, is awful, it was a waste of money because the only thing I kept from this whole set up were the lights and tank alone, everything else wasn't included or was very cheap. with the filter this comes with you will be doing 20% water changes every other day and swapping out the filters, mind you they cost 10 bucks to switch out. I would highly suggest saving yourself the time and money, going to get your tank and setting it up the way you want and know is worth it. hope I can save some one else the time, money, and frustration of this kit.
Defective poorly designed
I have a lot to say, but for time’s sake DO NOT BUY THIS. The filter levels are extremely sensitive, and when the water went too high during set up, the filter burned out and made the entire tank smell like burnt rubber. I had another stronger filter also in the tank that was completely wrecked. I could not get the smell out. The dock wasn’t even tall enough to meet the minimum water level of the waterfall filter that burned out. The tank top is also nonsensical for a turtle because no cords or filters can fit through the tank screen. Also there was no heat bulb included, just a regular light bulb. I can see why this is on sale, but even still it is 100% not worth it.

Everything pictured arrived in box. Not having any issues with the filter nor lights. My pets love it. Would strongly recommend!!
Great Starter Tank!
Perfect start for new, small turtles! Eventually, I will upgrade some of the parts but for now, it takes all the guesswork for the primary needs away. I’ve added rocks & real plants too.

the UV light bulb that came with it doesn't work. Otherwise it works great.

The order got here on time everything listed .. not a month later the pump for the waterfall went out just stopped working . So fair price just be ready to get a new pump

Doing exactly what I needed it for. It's a great little starter tank for our turtle hatchlings before they go into their bigger home.
Basking Light Stopped Working
After just a couple of weeks, the basking light/heat lamp stopped working. Tried replacing the bulb, no luck. Tried working with customer service on the issue, no help other than to replace the entire kit that is already set up with a turtle in it!!! Only the heat lamp stopped working. Seems so much easier and cheaper to simply replace that! There are various options on the site available. But, go ahead and send out an entire new kit and have me have to ship the old one back. That's customer friendly.
Perfect Home for my Turtle
My son wanted a small turtle when he was a little boy. Being a pet lover myself we purchased a tiny baby turtle. Fast forward she is now 23 years old and very large. This tank is a perfect home for her.

My turtle likes the tank. I have sent Tetrafauna a question about the water filtering system. I may have overestimated the cleaning ability of the filter. The website mentions an additive to the water that may help. And the kit came w/ the same size light fixtures--the instructions mention a shorter fixture for the heating light and a taller one for the UVB light bulb. I emailed Tetrafauna about that too. I will probably need to use the heater I also purchased as the water doesn't seem to be staying warm enough w/ just the lights. But overall I like the aquarium.
