Is there a hood for the breeze system?

Answer by AshBFeb 09, 2025
There's one size option that has a hood.

How do you train a cat

Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2019
Empty and clean the OLD box(es) with a mild soap and start with fresh litter. Keep the Breeze Litter Box System next to the OLD box. Combine the existing litter in the OLD box with 2 cups of Breeze pellets. Each day, maintain the OLD box and add ¼ cup of Breeze litter pellets until the OLD box contains 70% Breeze litter pellets and 30% old litter. If cat continues to use the OLD box with this 70/30 mixture, slowly start reducing the amount of litter in the OLD box by ½ cup per day until there is hardly any litter left in the OLD box. Once your cat is consistently using the Breeze Litter Box System to urinate and defecate, remove the OLD box.

How deep is the litter in the box with a 3.5 bag in it? Can two bags be used at once?

Answer by ChewyAug 03, 2018
The system is at capacity with just one 3.5-lb bag of litter pellets. This will last up to a month. When purchasing the 7-lb bag, the instructions are to use half of the bag and then change the litter as needed using the other half of the bag. This should last you around 2 months.

Can the drawer on the bottom for the pad be completely removed for cleaning separately from the rest of the system?

Answer by ChewyJan 15, 2019
The tray is completely removable for cleaning.

Hides urine smell well, but not enough pellets in the regular bags

The regular size says to use one 3lbs bag of pellets for the box, but much like when I used the XL and it said to use two of that size, it isn't nearly enough litter

The regular size says to use one 3lbs bag of pellets for the box, but much like when I used the XL and it said to use two of that size, it isn't nearly enough litter. It barely coats partial of the bottom with that amount, so while my cat used it for peeing in, they never pooped in it until I bought an additional 7lbs bag and dumped half in. Needing to dump a 7lbs pound in every month on top of the multi cat cat pads is going to get a bit costly, and the pellets still do end up in random places of the house, but those are much easier to pick up than clump/crystal litter, and the lack of urine smell makes it worth it. My cats did try to eat the pellets for awhile though, so supervise your cat when switching to this.

This litter system has helped tremendously. There is little to no smell and it’s pretty cost effective. Before I was just putting new litter in every time I cleaned the box.. I mean dump all the litter because I couldn’t STAND the smell. This however makes clean up easy.. I change the pellets once to twice a month and I change the potty pad once a week. Everytime my girl takes a dump I run in and clean up her mess. I’m serious this litter system is awesome and it looks way nicer too!!

My kitties are both over 15 years old, and both rescued. One long time ago, and my long hair tuxedo came 3 years ago now. They both are heavy wetters, tested out healthy, just old like me !?! everything i have tried results in : mud, tons of scooped litter waste, urine smells, and unhappy household , completely. This is easy, and perfect for my pair. The pads change easily, i put the poo on the used pad and roll it up and out it goes. I have back up pellets and pads, and can’t be happier. For all of us.

I am a professional pet sitter and I go to a lot of people’s houses to take care of their cats, so of course I’ve seen a lot of litter boxes as well, and believe me, this is the worst litter box I’ve ever had to clean. It smells awful no matter what because it has such poor odor control and it’s plastic so not only is it a breeding ground for bacteria, it’s so hard to clean. Poop smears all in between the grates at the bottom and it’s disgusting. The pee is supposed to filter through the litter and go to a pee pad at the bottom, but not only is the pee pad such a specific size, if you want to get one that actually fits without cutting one yourself you have to buy this brand, and the packs are so dang small it lasts less than a week. Plus, since the litter does nothing to absorb the pee, it’s just covered with the awful smell of cat pee until you decide you’ve had enough and have to replace the whole litter, and that only last for a minute before it starts smelling terrible again. I don’t even have a cat, but in order for me to never see one of these litter boxes again, I am absolutely begging everyone not to get them, they’re just awful. Just get a stainless steel litter box with regular clumping litter. You’ll be so much happier with that.

No more icky litter!!

I find this cat box extremely easy to clean, and it does not smell at all!! I also have the larger box. I do think the pads are a little bit expensive, but overall there is no dust, no litter tracking, and no scooping pee clumps. Just toss the pad and replace once a week. My kitty is FIV+ a litter was causing him severe URI’s. I tried every type of litter from tofu, to cedar to pretty litter and beyond. We have been using this system for a little over three months and my cat has not had a single URI.

I was skeptical as I've been using pellets for the past seven years. I switched to the breeze system and it is a huge time saver. The smell is non existent and I've got 3 cats using 2 boxes. I am changing the pads every 2 days as my female cat is very particular about smells. It's a bit of an investment but no more hauling 40lb bags of pellets up 3 flights of stairs.

We have not opened the box. I am wishing zi had not ordered. I did because zi was having hip replacement, and was told I should not bend over for 6 weeks. I thought it would be easier to use on top of a table, but actually, it is not. It is heavy. And my bending restrictions have ended. It is still unopened - in the box. Could it be returned? If not I will likely just donate it. Thanks!

my favorite litter box - never using anything else!

i was recommended this litter box from my first cat's foster mom and i'm endlessly grateful that she did. it is by far the easiest, cleanest, least smelly litter

i was recommended this litter box from my first cat's foster mom and i'm endlessly grateful that she did. it is by far the easiest, cleanest, least smelly litter box i've ever used. PROS ~ easy to scoop -- the pellets make the process of scooping super easy because the pee goes through the grates and the poo sits on top of the pellets; once a week, replace the pee pad ~ clean and mess-free -- the pellets are dust-free and don't stick to cats' paws and the pee pad is very absorbent; the litter box is easy to take apart and clean periodically ~ minimizes odors -- for some reason there is NO pee smell at all; you can smell the poo when they first go, but after scooping the smell goes away fast CONS ~ not good for diarrhea/wet poos -- this is situational, but on the rare occasion my cats have diarrhea, it sticks to the pellets and can seep through the grates (when this happens, i use my backup standard plastic box and pine pellets to tide me over until the diarrhea resolves, but it reminds me how nice the litter breeze is!) ~ be very careful that when you introduce the litter box that your cats (or dogs) don't eat the pellets, as they can cause bowel obstructions and death

In this system, I have found the answer to my problem, with a modification of my own. My problem is that my cat has a health problem in that he drinks copiously, and urinates copiously. I bought the system , but I discovered that there is no catch bin under the pad tray. My cat quickly overwhelmed the pad and tray causing a flood of urine on the floor. I removed the pad tray and set the frame with grid into a large cat box that I already had on hand. It fits nicely, and provides a safe catch basin for the large amount of urine that is produced. I then simply move the frame intact from one large box to another, giving me a chance to dump and rinse the box. I think the manufacturer should create an underneath catch section. Could be optional like the hood. Just my opinion and a suggestion. Elizabeth Harner

I don't know what I was expecting but I wanted to love it for the wood pellets but the pee runs right through it and then sits on the pad in the bottom so not only do you have to buy litter but also the pads. I started to just add some pallets in the bottom so they can absorb the pee and then I just dump it from there. I don't know maybe I'm just doing it all wrong
