Feeding Adult Cats During Gestation and Lactation: Provide increasing amounts of food during the second half of gestation, up to twice as much as the normal intake. During lactation, provide as much as your cat will consume.
Feeding Kittens: Introduce dry food around the fifth week and provide as much food as kittens will consume from weaning until twelve months of age.
Feeding Wet and Dry Food Together: Decrease the amount of dry food by approximately 1/8 Cup for every small can of wet food.
The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.

Both of my boys seem to really enjoy this food (although they are by no means picky). I know that wet food is more ideal for cats, but a wet food only diet is just not feasible for me. I appreciate that this seems to be one of the healthiest dry foods I can find for a semi-reasonable price (although I appreciate that this is still quite expensive). After going through MANY different good brands and flavors over the years, I would definitely recommend this one if you’re looking for a more species appropriate option!
I bought Tiki Cat Carnivore Chicken and Herring and Pro Plan LIVECLEAR Weight Management food at the same time. Both foods have a high protein content and lower calories. The Pro Plan LIVECLEAR bag is gone, I've bought another bag, and the Tiki Cat is still full. My 2 cats simply chose the Pro Plan. I had high hopes for the Tiki Cat, based on good reviews, but my guys vote NO. So based on this experience I can not recommend it to others because the cost is quite high.
My cat, Morris, has been eating Halo dry food for years and loved it. Recently they changed their formula. Sadly, that meant a decrease in quality with a high proportion of pork added and a new taste that Morris barely tolerated. I have been on the hunt for a new dry food ever since. I settled on Tiki Cat Born Carnivore (Chicken, Herring & Salmon). I love the high-quality proteins and that it's grain-free and non-GMO. Morris loves the flavor and now he's back to being overjoyed when he hears the dry food bag opening.
For some reason both of my kitties didn’t like this and I even tried cutting some other dry food with it and they wouldn’t touch it
My cat was overweight, and we tried EVERYTHING. We exercised him regularly, put his food up high, took away all treats, fed him less and less and changed to diet foods but nothing helped. Finally, our vet recommended going with a high protein food. We feed him according to the bag (other foods we had to cut it even lower that the recommended weight feeding and he didn't lose a thing) and it's more food than he used to get (which he loves!) He looks GREAT! The weight melted off! He hit his goal weight in 6 months. He goes bananas for it too. We pair it with the wet food to keep him from throwing it up (its not the food, its him lol) and we're thrilled with it!
Our cats don’t love it. They will eventually finish it. And our cats aren’t that picky. They like the chicken best.
This dry food made my cat biggie chonk
Both cats love the flavor, no complaints in that area. So far so good… I just hope they have this back in stock before I run out.
after a long researching I came with this food and they switched from Orijen to this one with no problem, they love it. There are not leftovers.
My cat Boo wouldn't youch it.
