No chance Buster or Lucy would ever like this!

Buster thought the Tiki cat chow was worse than Lucy’s arm pit. One taste caused Buster to back away wondering if his humans had lost their minds. After two bowls were not touched for 48 hours, a side by side taste off with Hill Science Diet was served. Buster and Lucy’s humans were once again back in good graces. Your cat may go for Tiki, but only if it is the last kitty chow on earth. Humans know cats can be finicky so you prized kitty might adore Tiki Cat Chow. If so, I would be happy to donate my bag for shipping and handling.

I order this bag of food with my usual order every 2 months or so, the last few times I have received this item, the bag is slashed open. I left the box open overnight and my cats ate the kibble that spilled out. I don’t think this will give them any problems, but I just wanted to make everyone aware of the quality issues. It is too late for me to report this as I just got the package yesterday and it was delivered over a week ago. I have no choice but to use the kibble now, but this is a bit ridiculous how common this issue is. I have no issues with the actual item, just how it is packaged and delivered.

Tiki Cat for the Win!

I began feeding my cat Tiki Cat Born Carnivore Indoor Health dry food in January of 2023, when we experienced a small health scare. For reference, my cat was 4 years old and generally in good health at the time. My cat is normally *incredibly* food motivated (she would eat all day, every day if she could), but she went through a period where she was not eating her previous brand of dry food that she had been eating without issue for years. After a day or two of her ignoring her usual dry food, I began to worry and went to the pet store to see if I could find alternatives that she might find palatable, which could also help settle her stomach in case it was upset. After standing in the cat food aisle, researching various brands, and seeing that this recipe contained pumpkin to help aid with digestion, I decided to give it a try. I also picked up some of the Tiki Cat pumpkin and wheatgrass Tummy Toppers to mix in with this dry food for the first couple of days. The first night I brought the food home for my cat to try, she took to it right away, and I have been a loyal Tiki Cat fan ever since! Each meal period, my cat comes running to her bowl and is excited to eat her meal. I like to alternate between the chicken and trout formulas to keep things exciting for my her.

I decided to switch to this dry food after I no longer needing to feed an HP diet. It took a while to get my cats to like this, but after they finally decided it was okay, I decided to order the 12lb bag to save money. The 12lb bag does not come in a resealable bag, so I dinged a star for that as I now have to go out and buy a container.

Small kibble that is easy for cats to bite into. Upon opening the 1st bag, I noticed how "Good" it smelled; not normal stale pet food smell. In fact, smelled so good it could have been food I would have eaten--but I didn't! Cats do not overeat this food as it satisfies their periodic hunger (I feed 1C/day/cat)

I have two cats and was previously feeding them Merricks, but when they changed their recipe my cats refused to eat it anymore. I did some research and decided to go with Tiki, is has great ingredients and is much cheaper too. My cats love it and my girl cat no longer has stomach troubles or gas. I definitely would recommend this dry food!

While my cat would eat this food, it apparently did not agree with him. He developed bad diarrhea, and his skin started itching. While I can not prove anything, these changes occurred at the same time I opened the bag of food and started feeding it. Once I connected the dots and stopped feeding this product, he gradually felt better and the issues went away. I threw out the remaining food and will not be buying again. Am now back to the previous dried food/other brand I had been giving him.

How quickly all three devoured it.

All three of them love it! They’ve been eating Blue Chicken Flavored but they always just picked. Every time I put the Tiki down they devour it!

Premium quality food, that they will actually eat.

It was difficult at first to get them to even try, so we have offered it in a separate bowl beside their regular dry food. Now, this is their favorite and they won't even touch the old stuff, it took a couple months, but they really enjoy tiki cat. I am happy because of the quality ingredients used. Like I said, took a while to get them to actually eat this brand, but now it is their primary or regular dry food, which they seem to enjoy.
