Pour over dry food or let them lap it up alone as a special treat.
The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.

I use this as a topper to wet food for two of our senior kitties. They both love it. I read the negative reviews and some are not warranted. This is a topper and not a food so there isn’t a large amount of broth and food tidbits. It’s just enough to serve the intended purpose. For us, it is just enough to split one packet between our two cats and the love it. Another negative review mentioned the packaging. The packaging with this food is very typical of food that cones in a packet. The package can easily be opened from the top but if it’s challenging for you then use kitchen scissors to open. A reviewer complained that it’s hard to get all the product out of the package. Simple fix is use a spoon to spoon out all the tidbits that get stuck at the bottom. That is easily done and we have no issue. Overall, we highly recommend and enjoy giving this as a topper to our kitties on top of their wet food as the seem to really enjoy it.
one of my 5 cats has decided she doesn't want to eat regular wet catfood. in desperation, I've given her tiki cat broths and, miraculously, she deigns to eat them. it's a godsend, seriously, at least until we can figure out if there's something wrong w/her or she's just decided, at 14, that she doesn't feel like eating the usual wet catfood. the other 4 cats like it, too, a lagniappe, so I can say it seems like an excellent choice for both the picky and the "neurotypical" cats. I'm thinking it would be a good choice if they're not feeling well, also, since it seems very neutral and easy to digest.
Variety is the spice of life. Who doesn’t like a variety box? They are picky guys. I’ve tried lots of different foods. This is the one that got a paws up. We buy it again and again.
I like offering my cat a variety of flavors and textures. Love adding this broth to some dry food. She has loved it so far!
My cat snowball has a very sensitive stomach and is extremely picky. We’ve tried all kinds of wet food and toppers, he hated it all. I finally tried the duck tiki cat, and he goes for it every time. So happy he loves it!
Picky eaters. They won’t eat it hah. I really wanted to get them something cause his skins super dry but he just doesn’t see it as food unless it looks like kibbles I guess
This is working really well with my kitten, she doesn't eat as much of her sibling so I got this & she's definitely loving it... I mix one packet with her normal amount of dry food & she eats almost everything each time.
My one cat will not eat wet food and I really wanted to give her some extra hydration. While there’s not a lot of broth in these it’s the first consistency other than dry food she’s ever eaten so that’s a win for us !
I was using this to add into the tiki cat canned food I was already using and there wasn’t alot of broth, the broth that’s in there is pretty thick, the ingredients are quality and would probably make a good topper on solid or non tiki cat food, but it’s a bit redundant adding into canned tiki cat food as it doesn’t add enough hydration compared to just adding extra water to the food
We have an 18 year old cat who has some dental issues. We mix a packet of broth with about a third cup of kibble and she wolfs it down. It has helped us get her weight back up and got her back on a mix of wet food and kibble. She loves it.
