The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.

Fresh and High Quality
By Stephanie on Feb 17, 2021
My senior cat was going down hill fast. She had gotten so weak and thin so that she could not remain standing because her hips would give out. I went through 3-4 other foods looking for the best quality, best taste, and softest textures. I honestly thought I was looking at her last weeks/days. Then we found Tiki cat. It was an instant hit; it's got a good amount a broth which she will consume first before the chicken. The chicken is not discolored and looks as fresh or better than the canned chicken I can buy at the supermarket. Within 2-3 weeks of starting her on this food, she was *prancing* up the stairs on the deck and back to bossing around all the other kitties. She has since put on a healthy weight, and now I am certain she's got years ahead of her. This food is an investment in price, it is not cheap feeding it 2-3x a day, but in my opinion, it saved my cat's life. I will continue feeding Tiki cat. … more

A rare treat
By catmom4 on Feb 13, 2021
In the last two years since I got my youngest cat I have struggled endlessly to find some thing they all love. Talk about impossible. I think at this point I found maybe two kind of cat food they will eat and right now one of them is out of stock so I’m really in trouble. However, the one thing they do love is this Tiki formula. Actually I think they love it better than the other things they won’t eat because this is the only food that they will completely clean their plate. The only downside is unfortunately this can only be a treat because the food is so expensive and you only get a small amount of cans in in each can there’s a small amount of food. Yummy dinner!
By Apple123 on Mar 2, 2021
I've noticed a few reviews stating the chicken in this particular flavor was grayish in color & I was alittle skeptical if I should buy it or not? I didn't notice any gray chicken! In fact it was quite fresh & has alot of sauce which my kitty Apple in particular loves! 4 Stars bc they ate most of it, but not all. Personally rank it as 4.5 it might be 5 stars next time. This was my first order of this flavor. My cats love Tiki!

Truly Gourmet Cat Food
By Sulley on Jan 28, 2021
We are trying to help a stray cat which has been hanging around our neighborhood. We have tried different food and her being a stray, she would eat anything. But just because she is working towards becoming a house cat, she shouldn't have to eat yucky food. Imagine my surprise when I opened the first cans of this and its shredded chicken and actually one of the recipe's contains hard boiled quail egg halves. Needless to say, Keema loves the food. Given the choice between this brand and any other brand, she goes with the Tiki Cat every time. I have not seen the "grey chicken" which some have mentioned. Every can has been something one might be served in a fancy restaurant as an appetizer. We are trying to help a stray cat which has been hanging around our neighborhood. It smells like "real food" which is also how it appears. There are less expensive foods around, but this brand certainly appears to be quality from what I have seen. We have now purchased this stray cat a heated cat house and premium food. Her visits are becoming more and more regular. She is probably thinking "Why go anywhere else and these people sure have good taste"....... Life as a stray has to be tough and scary. Hopefully, we can gain her trust and give her a better life where she is safe and hopefully happy. The food sure seems to have gotten her attention. … more

We Weren't Fans
By CatMama95 on Feb 27, 2021
The cat food was fresh smelling and looking. The meat is white and shredded and is in a small amount of clear broth. Although the meat is moist, I think my cats prefer a little more gravy. I was trying something different and I guess my cats are a little too stuck in their ways!

My cat loves this food!!
By Danika on Jan 18, 2021
I love that the containers are small so I can portion out how much I give my cat. After doing lots and lots of research on cat food and ingredients, I'm happy to have found Tiki Cat because I know my cat is getting delicious food that is actually good for her! This cat food has high quality ingredients and contains taurine, which is always a plus for cats. The chicken flavor is her absolute favorite! I mix this food with another brand of wet food that is more affordable, but (in my opinion) lesser quality. I only wish that they sold this cat food in bulk so I could buy more of it and not have to reorder every two-three weeks.

Cats wouldn't touch it
By Chloe on Jan 16, 2021
I was really excited about this food - I want to start feeding my cats something healthier and better for them, and it initially had great reviews. I tried to feed it to my cats and they wouldn't even touch it. I guess it's back to unhealthy gravy food...haha. The food seems higher quality though, and looks like real chicken rather than byproduct. I'd say order this for your cats if they already like to eat real chicken and aren't only used to the cheaper wet foods.

What your cat SHOULD be eating!
By Human on Dec 4, 2020
This food came highly recommended by the vet after a very scary and expensive emergency vet visit. My cat is old and has some typical age-related issues. I guess the typical food really doesn't help with these problems, and this food is actually appropriate for carnivores. I'm not a vet, but my cat was able to regain lost weight and get back to good health very quickly. This food isn't cheap, but neither is the emergency vet!

Laci eats every last bit every time.
By Tajzers on Feb 23, 2021
My Laci Lee can be a picky eater, some meat flavors she barely touches. The chicken is her favorite and she eats it all with nothing remaining on the plate.

Cats were not into this
By Sara on Jan 12, 2021
Only one of four cats would eat this. I had to mix other wet food to get the other cats to try. It looks like real flaked chicken, I mean the kind that people eat. That’s a plus. Tried it because we have an obese cat and trying to get her to lose weight.
